Fantastic 5.0
It's actually very suitable for bringing children to visit for half a day. You can slowly enjoy and explore for about 4-5 hours. The visitor flow inside is quite clear, and you can see everything by following the path. There are many more types of jellyfish than expected, which is quite good. The only downside is that the admission ticket feels a bit expensive.

An Unforgettable Experience at Alishan with the Wonderful Alicia! ✨ Alishan was truly one of the most beautiful and memorable experiences of my Taiwan trip. The breathtaking mountain views, lush greenery, fresh air, and peaceful atmosphere made the entire journey feel magical. A special shout-out to Alicia, our fantastic guide! She was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and helpful throughout the trip. Her enthusiasm and the way she shared information about the place made the experience even more enjoyable. She made sure everyone felt comfortable and helped turn a beautiful destination into an unforgettable memory. If you're planning to visit Alishan, I highly recommend experiencing it with Alicia. The destination is stunning, but having such a wonderful guide makes it even more special. Thank you, Alicia, for making my Alishan trip so memorable! Highly recommended! 🌸📸

Electronic tickets were buy one, get one free, but actually only children need tickets while adults can just buy accompanying tickets. Upon arrival, you still have to wait in line to exchange for physical tickets. Because there are many ticket types and rules, the wait is very long. On the day we went, there was construction everywhere outside, leaving only two restaurants on the second floor, plus Yoshinoya and a hot pot place on the first floor, making it difficult to find food. As for the amusement park itself, it is fun, but when it first opened, the air conditioning was not strong, so we were sweating profusely. A few facilities have height restrictions, but once you reach 130 cm, you can ride everything. Children can easily play all day long. For the Snow Wonderland, you need to rent winter clothing, which costs 80 NTD per piece.

Buying tickets online allows for a parking fee discount, which is a great deal. The flat area of the park isn't very large; unless you plan to hike up Baxianshan, you can see everything in about an hour. However, the tickets are inexpensive, so it's still worth exploring at least once!

Hi. I would recommend our driver Andy! He is well versed in different languages. He tried to have small conversations with us and even explain to us the history about each venue. The car is comfortable and he really knows which playlist to choose to play in the car to keep away the awkwardness with other passengers around. Thumbs up!!

It was a nice break from the back to back travel we did here in Taichung (alishan/sun moon lake) and also from the heat during summer months. Price doesn’t differ that much when you buy it directly.

What to know before visiting Taichung

What to expect in Taichung

Taichung is best known for Theme parks, Events & shows and Massages, followed by Playgrounds and Tours across the year. Klook booking data shows demand builds to a strong high in April and a secondary surge in November, while August sits well below typical levels. Decide whether you want festival atmosphere or quieter exploration — Klook booking data helps time visits to match either mood.

Best months to visit Taichung

April is the clear busiest month while August is the quietest, according to Klook booking data. Prices across the year are varied: nightly prices peaked historically in July and drifted down to a low in March; some busy months (April, November) do not line up with the priciest month, so you can still find reasonable rates during popular times. For fewer crowds and lower typical prices, consider March or May; for peak-season atmosphere aim for April or November when events drive demand.

Choose value or comfort depending on your travel priorities.

Tips for travellers from Malaysia

Most Malaysian travellers lock in bookings about 10 days ahead, with the earliest planners booking around 26 days out, according to Klook booking data. That means you can stay flexible and often book a day or two before travel, but in April and November — the peak demand months — planning earlier pays. Use Klook to secure tickets and experiences in advance for busy dates, or browse closer to departure for quieter months when prices and availability are more forgiving.
