Very convenient location. The hotel was easy to find. Located near and walking distance to the MRT Orange Line, Liuhe Night Market. There ATMs and convenience store nearby. Has access to Laundry room. Although the facilities are old, my stay war overall good.

Fantastic 5.0
The hotel is just across Kaohsiung Station, the blue building is very easy to spot once you take the escalator up. Self check-in is at 3pm but you can leave your luggage if you arrive early. What surprised me was the spacious room, including the bathroom! Super comfy and you got a welcome snack (a box of pineapple tart). A water dispenser is available on each floor, I can get hot/cold water anytime I want while the laundry and self service snack store is located at the 7th floor. The location is perfect, practically easy to find food or convenience store. Will definitely return here should I visit Kaohsiung again.

Fantastic 5.0
The hotel is located between Kaohsiung Main Station and Formosa Boulevard MRT Station, closer to Formosa Boulevard Station. From the exit, walk straight along Zhongshan 1st Road towards the wedding dress district. After about 5 minutes, at the intersection, turn left onto Qixian 1st Road when you see the 'Jenlinso' wedding dress shop. Kaohsiung H.O.M.E. is just a short walk away. The front desk staff are friendly, and there's a PX Mart supermarket and the bustling Liuhe Tourist Night Market nearby, making it incredibly convenient. This stay, I was in a spacious, castle-themed room with playful stickers. It had a window with a street view and sunrise views, and a bathtub with strong water pressure to wash away fatigue. The bed and pillows were clean and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep.

The well-equipped sauna facilities offer a perfect way to relax and alleviate travel fatigue. The SW and PS5 game rooms are a major highlight, providing diverse entertainment options that transform a simple stay into a true vacation experience. Overall, with its rich facilities and high value for money, it's an excellent choice for families and friends traveling together.

Fantastic 5.0
The accommodation was clean and well-maintained, and the breakfast was abundant and delicious. The parking lot was large and very convenient. It's just a shame that our stay was scheduled for Sunday night, as Chengcing Lake was closed on Monday. We'll have to pay attention to our itinerary next time.

Fantastic 5.0
Value for money with a fantastic location! Just to manage expectations: my 5-star rating is for the overall experience and value, not because this is a luxury 5-star property. I stayed for two nights and had zero issues. The rooms looks like the hotel website, incredibly spacious, clean, and tidy, just don't expect much of a view. What really stood out was the service; the staff are polite and highly proactive, checking in on even the small details to make sure I was comfortable. Location-wise, it’s incredibly convenient. It’s right near the train station, a Watsons, and plenty of local eateries. There is also a restaurant at the top of the hotel. Plus, it’s an easy walk to one of Kaohsiung's popular night markets. Highly recommended for the price and convenience. I will definitely be trying out their Kenting property next time!

Fantastic 5.0
This was my first stay at the Xiying Hotel. Breakfast included both Chinese and Western options. In line with environmental protection efforts, the hotel only provides basic toiletries such as body wash, shampoo, and paper slippers. Guests are required to bring all other personal items. The design of having the sink next to the bed in the room was a bit unusual for me. The bathroom wasn't very spacious and only had a few hooks for clothes, which felt a bit insufficient and inconvenient. The room had a modern design. The ramp to the parking lot was quite steep and narrow, so larger vehicles should exercise extra caution.

What to know before visiting Kaohsiung

Quick snapshot of Kaohsiung and what to expect

Kaohsiung is a lively harbour city where theme parks, events & shows and museums dominate Klook bookings, giving the destination a mix of family-friendly attractions and cultural outings. Demand on Klook swings through the year, with a strong peak in December and a pronounced trough in August and September, so the city’s visitor rhythm feels seasonal.

Best months to visit and how prices move

Klook data shows December is the busiest month while August (and September) sees the lowest demand. Prices move differently from demand at times: according to Klook bookings, October typically has the lowest activity prices while February is usually the priciest, so you can see demand and prices diverge across the year. If you want smaller crowds and lower activity prices, aim for October; if you want the peak-season atmosphere, plan for December when demand is highest.

Tips for travellers from Malaysia

Most travellers from Malaysia book around five days ahead on average, so you can be fairly flexible when planning Kaohsiung activities but it helps to lock in tickets before busy periods like December. Use Klook to compare family-friendly options such as theme parks and events, and consider booking a few days in advance for popular dates to secure availability.
