Fantastic 5.0
This was my first visit to Xpark Aquarium, and booking tickets through Klook was incredibly convenient. Not only was the purchase process simple, but the price was also better than buying at the venue. The e-ticket allowed for direct entry by scanning the QR code, which saved a lot of time. The aquarium's layout was very distinctive, with each exhibition area incorporating lighting and sound effects to create an immersive viewing experience. Popular exhibits like the penguins, jellyfish, and seals were all very captivating, and every corner offered great photo opportunities, making it perfect for couples, families, or friends. The environment inside was clean and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly, making the visit very smooth. I recommend visiting on a weekday, as there are fewer crowds, allowing for a more relaxed appreciation of the various marine life. Overall, it was a highly recommended trip, and I would definitely purchase tickets through Klook again if I have the chance.

Lala Mountain is a great place to escape the summer heat in Taoyuan. Enjoy a leisurely stroll through the park's giant cypress forest, where the gentle slopes of the trails make for an easy walk. As you hike, breathe in the phytoncides from the mountain, cleansing your mind and body, and experience the beauty of the magnificent natural surroundings! The park also features plants such as green maple, red maple, and beech, forming a highly representative forest ecosystem in the mid-altitude mountains of northern Taiwan. Every November and December, the green leaves turn from yellow to red, creating a uniquely romantic and poetic scene. The park is also an important habitat for wildlife such as the Taiwan blue magpie, yellow-bellied fantail, and Formosan serow.

Online ticket purchasing is convenient, and more importantly, it's cheaper than buying on-site, plus you save on parking fees. Every time I visit Dongyanshan, I buy my tickets directly through Klook. You select your date after purchase, and the tickets are valid for a year, so there's no need to worry about sudden rain forcing a reschedule and making your tickets unusable. It's incredibly convenient.

Fantastic 5.0
After more than 20 years, I visited Window on China Theme Park again, mainly because my girlfriend wanted to go. The park is actually quite small; you can see everything in an afternoon. The models seem quite old, but they are well-maintained. Some areas have become overgrown with weeds, but employees regularly clear and tidy them up, which I noticed. As for the rides, besides the 'Boomerang' (similar to Leofoo Village and Lihpao Land's 'Volcano Adventure' but much taller, which neither my girlfriend nor I dared to ride), the other attractions are mostly geared towards children. There's a kid-friendly version of 'The Plunge.' However, the 'Crazy UFO' ride made my head hurt so much I almost threw up. Regarding the architectural models, my girlfriend was quite impressed. They have the Forbidden City, the Great Wall, the Presidential Office Building, and the Statue of Liberty. We also played a fortune-telling game and fed fish. Some areas clearly show that the facilities are very old, but fortunately, the restrooms are all clean and have been renovated. Overall, the trip was worthwhile. Oh, I almost forgot to mention, parking for scooters at Window on China is free! That's a huge plus – no parking fee for scooters. Window on China gets a thumbs up for that, and there are plenty of parking spaces. It's a decent place, but it's really more suitable for parents bringing their children, as the facilities inside are primarily designed for kids.

Fantastic 5.0
Good combo ticket for Xpark and Chiao-hu. I would recommend figuring out if you want to catch a show at Xpark and timing things, because their live shows are every 2 hrs, and kids won’t be able to wait around. Since both venues you can get a stamp for re-entry, it’s worthwhile to plan around food and playtime.

Book with Klook for convenience: Bring the kids to Souvenir Kiri Hidden Castle for a day as ninjas! 🎴 As soon as we entered, we were impressed by the super-sized samurai helmet, as well as the countless torii gates and lantern-lined streets. Every corner was incredibly photogenic! The kids excitedly searched for ninjas along the way, completely immersed in the atmosphere of this Edo-era castle town, and even the adults had a blast. ✨ Besides taking tons of photos, the transparent snack factory in the park also captivated the children. And of course, we ended the day perfectly with our favorite Japanese desserts and afternoon tea 🍡. Seeing both kids happy and well-fed, this outing gets a perfect score! Our family memories, just like our stomachs, were full. 🥰

The tickets were very easy to use, and the price was great. The overall quality of the environment was excellent, and the kids had a lot of fun. They even got to make their own colored pens, which was a fun activity. The DIY activities looked fantastic. It's definitely worth coming back again!

It's a pineapple cake that you just mix, put in a mold, and bake. However, even mixing it required a bit of skill, and I enjoyed figuring out how to make it look nice when putting it into the mold. I also enjoyed talking with people from the same country.

Fantastic 5.0
The environment inside the museum is clean and comfortable, and the guided tours and interactive facilities are thoughtfully planned. The DIY classes and chocolate tasting are especially popular. Children aged 6-12 usually have a great time, and it's suitable for couples as a half-day date activity. If you're expecting facilities on par with a large theme park, you might find the content a bit limited, but for a tourist factory, it's very well-executed.

What to know before visiting Taoyuan

Quick Taoyuan snapshot and what to expect

Taoyuan’s top bookings on Klook are family-friendly experiences: zoos & aquariums, playgrounds and theme parks lead the way, with parks, gardens and museums also popular. Demand rises and falls through the year, so you’ll find both busy peaks and quiet troughs to match your travel mood.

Best months to visit for crowds and prices

Klook booking data show December as the busiest month and August as the quietest. Prices, however, run differently: they tend to peak around August and stay higher from September through the following June, while July is typically the cheapest month according to Klook data. If you want lower prices and smaller crowds, aim for July or the quieter late-summer window; if you prefer the peak-season atmosphere and fuller attractions, plan for December. Note that demand and price diverge here—August sees low demand but higher prices—so choose based on whether cost or crowds matter more to you.

Tips for travellers from Malaysia

Most travellers from Malaysia typically book about a day in advance, with some locking things in up to four days early, so Taoyuan suits flexible, short-notice plans as well as light pre-planning. For peak-month travel in December, consider booking popular family attractions a few days earlier to secure preferred time slots. Use Klook to compare options and reserve tickets or experiences a few days before travel for peace of mind.
