Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) CitiAir Bus Transfers to / from Taipei

I recently used the Taiwan Airport Bus Transfer service, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. Taking the scenic route to the city! the bus ride was about an hour, an hour plus from the Airport. Unlike the airport mrt, it only has a certain schedule though so if you missed your actual timeslot, you might have to wait for the next bus to come.

the Taoyuan~Taipei route of this bus service I have ridden countless times already but this is the first successful one I did with the Taipei~Taoyuan route. Late December of last year, several days before Christmas, I tried boarding this same bus from Taipei Main station and had my voucher with Qr code ready. It was the last 1961 bus. There was also a Thai passenger who boarded with me. When we ascended in the bus and showed our Klook vouchers, the old driver threw us out of the empty bus. thank goodness for klook allowing cancellation. I took kuo kang bus to taoyuan instead. that experience was so traumatizing that when I returned to taiwan from jeju 2 days later on Christmas eve and left taipei for cebu that 26th I did not ride this bus for fear that a similar thing happens again. boarded in Ximending. hardly had any other passenger. even less airport bound ones. driver was very amiable and very considerate. not a bumpy journey, either. thanks to my klook credits, I had a big discount for this reservation of mine compared to the one from Monday of last week. will continue using this service again. my faith in the 1961, greatly diminished by that unpleasant december incident, has now been restored.

If you have some heavy luggage prior to leaving Taipei, but don't want to splurge on taxi fares, this bus ticket is definitely worth a try. Just allocate extra minutes to travel time as traffic can be a little heavier than usual on some days. I take bus trips to the airport to get some rest after day(s) of touring Taipei and if I have bags/luggages/pasalubong I can't comfortably carry via Airport MRT (could mean some serious walking from Taipei Main Station to get to Airport MRT). Taipei bus drivers are really dependable and friendly, but kinda strict with time so just make sure you adjust accordingly.

Cheaper option for airport transfer. Easy to redeem. Just show the QR to the staff at the bus ticketing counter. Bus was huge and clean. Thanks klook!

Easy to claim, just show the voucher to the assigned person. In our case we need to wait for the next bus schedule. While waiting we just bought foods in the 7/11. The travel time from the aiport to ximending is almost 2hrs.

It is worth buying. Less hassle transporting from airport to the hotel as the bus stops nearby nice spots / places. Just had a hard time looking for the booth as it was situated at the basement. Just ask the security officer to guide you on the exact location.

Bus stop just a few steps away from our hotel. Just show QR code from Klook. Travel was breeze and not much of a crowd during our trip.

the ride is smooth less hustle espcially if your have lots ot laguage to carry bus if a better option than mrt :)

I love riding the CitiAir Bus. Seeing those scenic views along the way makes it more exciting. Definitely, i will ride again this soon! 😊😘
