Things to do in Taipei

Our tour guide Daphne has so much energy and tried to explain everything. Our tour went smoothly though it’s quite pack and tiring all in just 1 day but a value for money. Thank you for trying to make our trip a pleasant experience. Good job Daphney!👏

One way travel time on the gondola is about 20 to 30 minutes. The gondola ride includes four stops, namely the Taipei Zoo Station, Taipei Zoo South Station, Zhinan Temple Station, and the Maokong Station. It is very easy to ride the Maokong Gondola; after getting off the last stop of the Metro's Wenhu Line—Taipei Zoo Station—walk to the Maokong Gondola's Taipei Zoo Station to take the gondola.

Visiting the Taipei 101 Observatory was an amazing experience! The elevator ride alone was impressive—so fast and smooth. Once at the top, the 360° views of Taipei were absolutely breathtaking, especially during sunset.

Very affordable! Lot of animals. They offered shuttle train for a minimal amount. My daughter loves all the animals here especially the Red Panda, panda, capybara and the birds. We'll go back here again soon.

The National Palace Museum (NPM) in Taipei is an absolutely mandatory visit for anyone interested in history or art. The curation is superb, but make sure to prioritize the most famous treasures: • The Jadeite Cabbage: A delicate, lifelike Qing Dynasty jade carving. • The Meat-Shaped Stone: An astonishing piece of jasper carved to perfectly resemble braised pork. • The Mao Gong Ding: An incredibly important bronze vessel with the longest known bronze inscription. Plan for a few hours to explore the impressive range of ceramics, bronzes, and calligraphy. Fun day here at Taipei Amusement Park! Redeeming is easy, you just need to go to the information center and scan your qr code to get the wrist ticket. The park is huge with multiple floors. They have indoor playgrounds, and so many rides. It also has a food court with different selections. Complete with washing areas for kids. Very enjoyable and affordable.

Return visit after two years. As far as I recall, everything is the same except the baths do look two years older and the cold bath is no longer as cold. It used to be ~10 degrees (iirc) but it is now (estimated) 20-25 degrees (the thermometer has been removed). If you like being alone, I was the only customer past 6pm on a weekday. For the price, it is worth coming here for your first hot spring experience in Beitou but I’ll probably try a new hot spring for my next visit in the future. Good experience (:
