Reviews summarySpring City Resort This time, we used a Klook package that included one meal and a two-hour hot spring private room for 3,500 NTD. Upon arrival at the hotel entrance, a valet attendant will assist with parking, as guests are not permitted to drive down to the parking area themselves. It's good to be prepared to tip when leaving, to avoid an awkward moment with your wallet. Dinner was a fixed Japanese set menu with no other options available. Overall, it was decent. After eating, you can take a stroll around the area before returning to the hot springs. The pace of the itinerary felt quite relaxing. While the private hot spring room showed some signs of age and an older decor style, the room itself was spacious, and the bathing area was also roomy. The soundproofing of the main door was average, but since we visited on a weekday and there weren't many people, it wasn't a significant issue. What was rather perplexing was that shortly after we entered the room, a staff member knocked on the door and said our time was up. We were completely bewildered, thinking, "We just got in; did time fly by, or is our life being fast-forwarded?" The staff member later confirmed the mistake, apologized, and left, but this little incident was certainly a bit odd. Overall, although Spring City Resort's facilities and decor show their age, the service was generally acceptable, and the environment had a pleasant resort atmosphere. For 3,500 NTD for one meal and a two-hour private hot spring room, the value for money is still pretty good, making it a suitable place for a relaxing hot spring experience.
1. it was easy to find the shuttle bus location and the bus time schedule was accurate. 2. Hotel is quite old and the private hot spring areas is old too. 3. Though the private hot spring tub is old but still works perfectly. 4. There are little snacks and bottle of mineral water provided. 5. Lastly, it was our first experience to hot spring and we enjoyed it. I m glad that we book private hot spring room as we can still rest and chill after the hot spring.
it is easy to get there by train then take bus to hotel. has different pool and no need to bring anything else, except swimming suits. after a soak we walked down to thermal valley , just a few minutes and had spring egg abefore entry. then walked down along stream to new beitou train station and transferred to tasmui and hired a bike to fish man wharf , just on time to watch sunset. had a great time
I visited twice in one week! Here's a tip for Korean visitors: definitely bring a tumbler filled with ice. The water dispenser only has hot water. It's much more pleasant to enjoy the hot spring with ice water. The shower booth was a bit small and inconvenient, but other than that, I was satisfied with everything. My dad tried about 5 different day spas in Xinbeitou, and he said this was his favorite, so we went back for a second time, haha.
For those looking for a day spa in Xinbeitou where swimsuits are required, here's a detailed review. (For Korean visitors) As it's a sulfur hot spring and an outdoor area, there might be a sulfur smell and you may find leaves or small bugs floating in the water. However, the staff regularly cleans and removes them. Being an outdoor onsen, this is unavoidable when it's windy. Nevertheless, if you want a relaxing onsen experience with an open-air atmosphere, I recommend this place, especially since it has a cold water area that's refreshing and convenient. If you're tired from a Yehliu, Shifen, and Jiufen tour, this is the perfect place to relax the next day, or if you're staying at a Beitou hotel and looking for a place to visit before check-in, I recommend this place.
Went on a weekday so there was only a few people at the public bath. Spent abt 2- 3 hours just relaxing and soaking at the different pools. will book again. They do provide shuttle service but do reserve the time slots with the hotel staff for the return journey to Beitou or Xinbeitou. To get to the resort, there are timeslots which you can take the shuttle. For me, i walked up to the resort as i visited the Thermal Valley before walking a short distance to the resort.
This is a great hotspring resort to go to for beginners. If you're not yet comfortable with the general public hot springs this one is great as you can wear swimsuits. We had booked the outdoor hot springs which were great and the variety was appreciated. Unfortunately we had not checked the weather forecast prior to picking a date and the outdoor hot springs were closed early due to the storm. Thankfully they were kind enough to let us use the private hot spring room which was also a nice experience. *Also should be noted that currently the shuttle bus pick up area is near the right side of the MRT Beitou Station from Exit 1 and can also be used for free to return to the station.
I visited **Spring City Resort Hot Spring** in Taiwan, and it was a relaxing experience overall. The outdoor pools had a good variety of temperatures, from warm to very hot, and the atmosphere was peaceful. The facilities were clean, though some areas felt a bit dated. It wasn’t too crowded when I went, which made it even more enjoyable. The shuttle service from Beitou MRT was convenient, but the resort itself is a bit far from the main attractions. While the experience was refreshing, I think it’s slightly overpriced compared to other hot springs in the area. Still, it’s a great spot if you want a quiet and comfortable soak.
The hotsprings were relaxing. The free shuttle was useful. be mindful that there’s a schedule when they depart to/from Xinbeitou MRT station. There were plenty of pools at the resort but small. They can get crowded easily. The locker room was small too. The price is okay. Not bad at all for what you get.
The popular swimming pool will lend you bathrobe-sized towels and slippers, which you can take home. You only need to bring a swimsuit. A shower cap is provided for your hair. The price on-site on weekdays is 800 yuan. You can save a lot by buying the coupon online for 529 yuan per person. The pool part is open-air, so if it rains, you will get wet. The temperature is about 40 degrees, which is not too high. I am a bit dissatisfied with the strength of the water column in the SPA pool. It is also weak. There is another area where it feels like water is being sprinkled. I still like the SPA in Jiaoxi Chuantang in Yilan. The water column is super strong. The spring water is a bit off-white and has a light sulfur smell. The pool is small and not large. There is no steam room or oven. The valet fee for the valet is 100 yuan. On-site swimsuits for boys are 490. Yuan for girls is 2,000 yuan
