About the Kuala Selangor Sky Mirror

Named after its mirror-like reflection of the sky, the Sky Mirror was once one of Kuala Selangor's best-kept secret, a spot that was only known to the locals of the fishing village. This mysterious 'island' only emerges for a few days every month, and only for a few hours each day.
The Sky Mirror is actually a seabed that appears above water during low tide, exposing an expansive sand flat that's approximately the size of a hundred football fields! You'll get to indulge in unparalleled views of the sky and sea during these precious moments of low tide.
Besides looking up while you're there, don't forget to also look down at your feet and you'll likely catch sight of marine life scattered abundantly in the sand - from tiny crabs to baby clams, sea grapes, seas anemones, to a variety of beautiful shells.

Besides Sky Mirror, Kuala Selangor is known for a couple of other iconic sights - it is the hill that serves as the home to cheeky Silvered Leaf Monkeys, river that's houses fireflies that twinkle in the dark after nightfall, and many other charming historical landmarks.

We'd recommend staying a night if you enjoy a more relaxed schedule (many people choose to visit the nearby Sekinchan on the same trip!), though it's also possible to squeeze in multiple spots in a day. After some time at the Sasaran Beach, head to the historical Melawati Hill and catch a glimpse of some century-old landmarks, go on a nature walk through the serene Kuala Selangor Nature Park, have a seafood dinner, and cruise through the Sungai Selangor on a serene boat ride in search of glowing fireflies at dusk. Tickets for the fireflies cruise costs only RM20 on Klook - you can also opt for a package that comes inclusive of an eagle feeding and blue tears tour experience!
