What to expect

You'll get the opportunity to design your own tie dye shirt or scarf using the natural indigo blue dye of a local plant. Unleash your creativity while under the supervision of a kind teacher as you fold, crumple, twirl and tie cloth with rubber bands and strings. What's great is you get to bring home your tie die creation as a souvenir of this unique experience. Next stop is Sanxia Old Street where you can go for a stroll and observe the wood carvings on the houses or check out the vendors selling tea and traditional handicrafts and antiques. You will then be driven to the town of Yingge, which is the largest center for ceramic production in Taiwan. Over 800 ceramic-related businesses can be found in the area around Yingge Old Street. You have the option to take a pottery wheel throwing class or visit the New Taipei City Yingge Ceramics Museum. After a day of cultural exploration, hop back on the bus for the return trip back to Ximen.

The driver was knowledgeable and friendly. Always there to help when you needs help. The DIY Indigo dyeing was fun and not too difficult for beginners. The Sanxia old street brings you back the nostalgic feel with lots of great food. Yingge old street has lots of ceramic which ceramic lovers will like it. Overall, it was a great tour and hassle free.

A very special experience! ! ! The driver was very professional and polite. He introduced many special sights, history and local cuisine. We were looking for hidden foods in the Three Gorges Old Street and Vegetable Market and felt the lives of the local people. (Haha, I bought fresh and cheap food here. (Sweet Taiwan Fruit) A short trip made me have a deeper understanding of the Three Gorges and Yangko, and also felt the spirit of hospitality in Taiwan. High CP value! ! !
