Experience: Today I participated in a bubble tea and soup dumpling candle making workshop, and the overall experience was fantastic! The instructor was very friendly, which made me feel very relaxed, and the teaching method was simple and easy to understand, making it easy for beginners to follow along. What was special was that I took the class with four French people, which made the whole experience even more fun and diverse. However, the instructor was very clear in letting me control my own pace, without having to follow the other students or having to wait for them, which I found very flexible ❤️. The instructor's English is fluent, and she was able to clearly explain each step, allowing us to enjoy the pleasure of communication (listening) while learning. This course not only taught me the process of making soft wax and melting wax, but also allowed me to briefly meet friends from different countries, which was truly a special experience. I highly recommend this course, whether you want to learn a new skill or find an interesting activity, this is a great place!
It was such a fun time. I was the only one who signed up, but we had a 1:1 lesson with the teacher, and we talked a lot, and we even got a really pretty scented candle and a plaster air freshener as a service! She said she studied Korean hard because she likes Korea, and she speaks Korean really well. There was no problem communicating at all. She also recommended many good restaurants and places to visit in Taipei, so I was so grateful that I got to know more new places even though I've already visited Taipei several times. The class lasts about 2 hours, and I recommend making it in the morning and doing the Dihua Street + Dadaocheng schedule in the afternoon! Since hot liquids are used, if you plan on bringing children, you should be careful. Oh, the meeting place is written vaguely, but the workshop is on the 4th floor of Yongle Market, and the meeting place is in the Watson building right across Yongle Market, so please keep that in mind!
We are visiting from US and my kids rated this experience “awesome” and “best in her weeklong stay in Taipei”! They also liked the clear instructions, very friendly and helpful instructor, and of course the yummy bubble tea to drink while they are making one that could be lit! In addition, it is super safe and nicely-paced that an elementary school kid could easily follow.
The instructor was very friendly. We brought a child with us, and the instructor generously gave the child a small gift. The finished product was super cute, and we could choose our favorite scent, which was awesome. We had a wonderful afternoon!
If we could give this 100 stars, we would. The owner is beyond welcoming and friendly. Very glad we booked this as our first activity in Taipei and enjoyed the session. She's extremely patient and thorough with the instructions. The 2 hours flew by so quickly. If you're looking for tips on food, be sure to ask as she has a wealth of knowledge on what's good.
Candles are made into realistic pearl milk tea and steamed dumplings. It’s really interesting and the children also have a lot of fun. The teacher can teach in English and Chinese. It’s a leisurely activity suitable for all ages~
So much fun! The staff that I spoke to was especially helpful and patient when it came to arranging a class that could accommodate my large group. The instructions were clear and the end product was worthwhile.
The candle-making experience was truly memorable and interesting. I got to know more about Taiwanese culture through this fun activity. Highly recommend this workshop to those who are going to visit Taiwan!🧋😍
I had an excellent time, thank you! The tutor speaks excellent English and gave me lots of travel advice. The class itself was relaxed. I love the products made. A box was provided for protection during travel. The tutor was very kind and approachable. I strongly recommend this activity.
Me and my friends had a really good experience doing this workshop! The process was easy to comprehend and the looks of the bubble tea and the xiaolongbao turned our really cool. My friend did the beer which is also a great item. Thank you Tracy for coaching us!
