Cookinn DIY - Pineapple Cakes, Local Pastries and Boba Tea in Taipei

We booked the DIY experience and the instructor/s were all so friendly and accommodating. The experience is relaxing and not intimidating at all. They have space for you to hang your jacket and store your bag and they have water and warm tea to drink if you want. The instructor will check on you from time to time and will help you if you need it. The tools and wet ingredients are measured and prepared already and I only had to measure the dry ingredients. The instructions are easy to follow and the pineapple cake I made tasted fresh and different from the common and affordable ones that can be bought as souvenirs. Still tasted good even after 3 days! My partner did the pepper buns DIY and we sat together. They will also take a photo of you to print as a postcard with the ingredients listed at the back. Highly recommended! One of my favorite things to do in Taipei and will surely try this again when we get back.

We went for a bachelorette trip and had a lot of fun. The pineapple cakes were relatively easy to make. You follow the instructions on an iPad, but there’s a staff member to assist and to help take pictures

Amazing experience and the staff instructors are very helpful along the way so you don’t need to worry about it being less interactive than other classes. The recipes are delicious and they also provide gorgeous packaging and a commemorative printed photo with the recipe on the back. 10/10

He have had some difficulty putting the filling in the dough as the dough had become very sticky. He admitted that he may have had put more salt than what was stated so his pepper buns turned out salty. So please follow the instructions and measurements carefully. Lol. They will also take a photo of you to print as a postcard with the ingredients listed at the back. Highly recommended! Partner said he wants to try this again when we get back and make it right 😅

Loved it - The egg yolk pastry was fun to bake. The quality of the ingredients provided were pretty high quality too, so the baked goods turned out well :) Instructor is there to guide when you need her to, otherwise it’s mainly following instructions via iPad. Fun activity to do when you’re done with all the touristy activity in Taipei

We accidentally went to the wrong studio, but the staff helped us arrange a taxi to take us to the Ximen studio. We didn’t need to pay for the taxi. My kids and I baked the pineapple cake while watching a guided tutorial on the tablet. The instructions were easy to understand, and we could make the cake without any trouble. The instructor, Cathy, was always available to help us occasionally. She also gave me some good restaurant tips in Ximen. The studio is clean and in a good location. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves! Thank you! We’ll come back here to take a xiao long bao class next time!

I had so much fun at the session. Easy to follow instructions. I was super successful with my bake. Turned out so well. Love the studio and staffs were super friendly. Will come back for more classes next time.

Very fun experience. Kind staff and clean area. We had no trouble locating the place, and the end results were yummy.

I did it for the kids' experience, but adults had a great time too~! Even the packaging made it into a perfect cracker that was exactly like the ones sold.

I have been Taipei for many times already and most of the tourist spots are no longer attractive to me. I am glad that I have tried this baking class to make my trip more interesting. It is easy to learn from the ipad and the staff are very helpful too.
