You don’t have to fly all the way to the Netherlands to appreciate Van Gogh’s work—the exhibition in Taipei, Taiwan, brings his masterpieces much closer to home. Although the venue was relatively compact, the bustling crowd of visitors and art enthusiasts made it take longer than I expected to fully absorb each piece. The dim lighting throughout the space added to the atmosphere, and I loved how Fubon Art Museum curated the show. Each painting was illuminated with just the right amount of light, making the artworks feel almost as if they were digitally projected rather than painted on canvas. Seeing Van Gogh’s work up close allowed me to truly appreciate his distinctive painting technique, especially his signature impasto style. With layers upon layers of thick paint, he creates a rich texture that gives the paintings a sense of movement and depth, making them feel almost three-dimensional. Two works that struck me the most were Willows at Sunset and The Good Samaritan (after Delacroix). His energetic brushstrokes and bold use of color made these pieces feel so dynamic, inviting viewers to step directly into his world. I could feel the warmth of the sunlight and connect deeply with the emotions he conveyed. Overall, this exhibition is a must-see for art enthusiasts and anyone curious about Van Gogh’s life. It offers a unique opportunity to connect with his art on a deeper level—both visually and emotionally.

Easy access to door without extra ticket redemption required. A great activity for rainy days, since we went near the typhoon period. Videography wasn’t allowed, but we could take photographs without flash. Overall, it’s a great eye-opener, especially for fans of Van Gogh!

You don't have to be in Netherlands to see the master's work. I grabbed the rare chance be a foot away from Van Gogh's masterpieces. The exhibition is very informative. I learned about his life and his struggles as a person and artist. Detailed description and interpretation of each work displayed is available when you scan the qrcode and enter the painting number. There's a photo op area and souvenir shop. Highly recommended 👍

See the original works of Van Gogh and go searching for the light together✨ Anyway, I'm thinking, do the same, let's be aware that everything always happens for the best in the best of worlds, that isn't impossible. Let us realize that in the best world everything has its best outcome, and this is not impossible. . . #FubonArt Museum#Vangogh#Vangogh’s Path to Light#vangogh

First, check your bags on the first floor (like going through security check at an airport before you can enter). Then take the elevator to the third floor to see Van Gogh. There will be a queue to control the number of people on the third floor, so the exhibition experience is great, although there are not many works on display. Each painting can be comfortably appreciated and photographed. There are boundaries on the ground that cannot be crossed. You can still view the works very close. There is also a photo area where you can take photos and keep them as souvenirs. Although the queue is not clearly drawn, it is not easy to see the quality of the people who come to see the exhibition. It’s good to have your hand stamped before leaving. The printed word is Van Gogh! It’s worth taking a photo to keep as a souvenir. The souvenir area is quite diverse and the prices range from affordable to high-end. You can also fill out a questionnaire and get a copy of Van Gogh! Texture Stickers The service staff are very friendly and not too harsh. The air-conditioning is cool and the air is clear and spacious. It is recommended to buy tickets online in advance. You can get physical tickets after swiping the qrcode on Klook a few days ago, which can also save the time of queuing to buy tickets on site!

easy to redeem, just go to 3rd floor directly. the staff will scan the QR then give you a small yellow ticket. you can keep the ticket as souvenir. the exhibition not too big, you can finish in around 2 hours. it also depend your speed. you can take photo, but not video. during the exit, staff will ask if you want reentry. if yes, they will stamp on you. at the exit, if you post an IG, you will get free stickers. look nice. a wonderful experience.
