Fantastic 5.0
Mom said she really wanted to go to Ginzan Onsen, so I immediately started planning the trip. Luckily, Klook has this two-day, one-night group tour, which allows me to relax a little too! Our guide, Tom, was great at managing the time. He knew the main reason the group joined the tour was for Ginzan Onsen and the Zao Ropeway, so he specifically introduced the highlights and must-see aspects of each attraction, allowing us to choose where we wanted to spend our time. As a result, we had plenty of time to enjoy ourselves and take lots of beautiful photos. We stayed at an onsen ryokan overnight, and the breakfast and dinner provided were delicious. Plus, a leisurely soak in the hot springs made this a very relaxing trip. Highly recommended!

The tour guide for this group was Carter Sasaki. Throughout the trip, he provided detailed explanations of the sights and the itinerary was well-planned and went smoothly. Fortunately, the members of this tour group were all punctual in boarding the bus at the time the guide had scheduled. Everyone was very cooperative, and the guide organized everything well 👍🏼. The guide also shared photography tips, showing me new ways to take pictures! This was a great help to me, a travel enthusiast ✌🏻. The only downside of this trip was the poor weather at the Zao snow monsters, with heavy snowfall. After waiting in line for a long time, we finally got to the mountaintop, but the visibility was so low that we couldn't see anything before heading back down, which was a real shame 😔. I'd like to plan another trip to see the Zao snow monsters next time!

This itinerary is highly recommended, especially the moment when the bus emerges from the tunnel and suddenly enters a world of ice and snow, it's truly magical. You can see plenty of snow at both Ginzan Onsen and Zao Snow Monsters.

Fantastic 5.0
Let's start by saying that Shawn was an excellent guide, kind, friendly, and helpful. Then the rest, the Zenkoji temple, the fire ritual, and the tea ceremony (the couple who runs the restaurant where it takes place is very nice), was super interesting. The shukubo experience was a real enrichment for us.

This hotel is a great place to stay. We spent 1 night here. We have an afternoon flight to Fukuoka. We were able to use the onsen spa before check out. It was a wonderful experience. It’s nice that the hotel is part of the airport terminal 3 and there is access to all the shops. Would definitely stay here again. Also all the staff were friendly and helpful.

Tips before visiting Tokyo

1. Plan your train routes early

Tokyo has many train lines, so it helps to check routes on Google Maps before heading out. Most places sit within walking distance of a station, making your trip smoother. Keep a prepaid card for faster transfers.

Get your Suica card through Klook before you arrive, which saves time at the station. It’s easy to use for trains, buses, and even small shops around Tokyo, Japan.

2. Wear comfortable shoes

You’ll walk a lot when you visit Tokyo, especially in large areas like Shinjuku City and Shibuya. Streets and attractions are close but still require steady walking.

3. Bring cash for small shops

Many places accept cards, but some food stalls and older shops still prefer cash. Markets you'll visit, like Tsukiji Fish Market or small cafés, may not take cards.

4. Visit popular spots early

Places like Tokyo Tower, Asakusa, and Shibuya Sky get busy as the day goes on. Going early helps you enjoy calmer views and shorter lines. This works well if you're a budget traveler who want more time in each spot.

5. Check the weather before your day trip

Tokyo’s weather changes often, especially during spring and summer. If you plan a day trip to Mount Fuji or parks like Yoyogi Park, look at the forecast first. It helps you plan what to wear and what to bring!
