Things to do in Taipei

Return visit after two years. As far as I recall, everything is the same except the baths do look two years older and the cold bath is no longer as cold. It used to be ~10 degrees (iirc) but it is now (estimated) 20-25 degrees (the thermometer has been removed). If you like being alone, I was the only customer past 6pm on a weekday. For the price, it is worth coming here for your first hot spring experience in Beitou but I’ll probably try a new hot spring for my next visit in the future. Good experience (:

The tour package was a great deal, luckily they had last minute openings. Booked Friday evening for Saturday. The meet up is on the 1st floor East Gate (if your looking at Taipei Main Station it’s the right side of the building) Our Guide Jeffery Wu was very friendly, cheerful and very helpful with information and any questions you had. His tour does both Chines and English, takes his time with interpretation of each language. He’s very patient and communicative with everyone, waiting for groups to catch up and at the bus’s. Jeffery seems to enjoy his guiding, making jokes and asking people to get to know everyone. To stay in touch our group had a WhatsApp channel group he used to get head counts, and to communicate with missing groups. He also sent a lot of suggestions for food and activities. Overall a great tour for a free day, multiple activities and not too much walking/stairs compared to other tours.

Had so much fun at the Hello Kitty exhibition today! 🌸 Using Klook to buy tickets was super convenient. After purchasing online, I could just scan the QR code to enter, which saved a lot of time waiting in line 👍 The only slight downside is that there weren't any physical tickets to keep as a souvenir. It would have been perfect if there was a commemorative ticket~

We chose the standard cabin to avoid long lines/waiting. It was still a great experience with the views of Taipei City and the mountain. We only stayed at least 30 minutes on top as there was not much to see at Maokong Station. You still get lot of food options at the top. Taipei 101 is visible from the ride and viewdeck. Went down during Sunset (which was our goal)

The view from the top is amazing, and it was a memorable day because my now ex-boyfriend—turned fiancé—proposed to me at the very top! Overall, it’s a great place to enjoy the views of Taipei. There are a couple of restaurants and food options to choose from in the basement of the building.

Very affordable! Lot of animals. They offered shuttle train for a minimal amount. My daughter loves all the animals here especially the Red Panda, panda, capybara and the birds. We'll go back here again soon.

The National Palace Museum (NPM) in Taipei is an absolutely mandatory visit for anyone interested in history or art. The curation is superb, but make sure to prioritize the most famous treasures: • The Jadeite Cabbage: A delicate, lifelike Qing Dynasty jade carving. • The Meat-Shaped Stone: An astonishing piece of jasper carved to perfectly resemble braised pork. • The Mao Gong Ding: An incredibly important bronze vessel with the longest known bronze inscription. Fun day here at Taipei Amusement Park! Redeeming is easy, you just need to go to the information center and scan your qr code to get the wrist ticket. The park is huge with multiple floors. They have indoor playgrounds, and so many rides. It also has a food court with different selections. Complete with washing areas for kids. Very enjoyable and affordable.

We had the best time during this tour and Ms. Libby helped us a lot. She gave us tips and tricks on how to save time and have great photo spots. She also recommended great places and foods to eat with value for money. Would recommend this tour to first time visitors ❤️
