Booking our tickets online right before entering Taipei Zoo turned out to be a great move, as paying in PHP was noticeably cheaper than purchasing directly in NTD at the gate. The zoo grounds are massive, beautifully maintained, and offer incredible value, but timing is everything when visiting. Arriving at 1:00 PM already put us on a tight schedule, and an unexpected two-hour rainstorm completely stalled our plans. Because of the weather delay and the sheer size of the park, we weren't able to explore the entire zoo, but we definitely plan to visit again on our next trip to Taipei. For anyone planning a visit, I strongly recommend buying your tickets online in advance for the best rate, arriving right when the park opens, and packing umbrellas so a sudden downpour won't cut your day short.

Such a beautiful experience and definitely one of the memorable parts of our trip! The Maokong Gondola ride was really enjoyable, especially with the amazing views of Taipei and the surrounding mountains along the way. The ride was comfortable and gave us a completely different view of the city.
We especially loved visiting the Gaomei Wetlands. The scenery was incredible, with the wide-open wetlands, wind turbines, and beautiful views stretching into the distance. We happened to be there around sunset, which made everything look even more amazing. It’s a great place to slow down, take some photos, and enjoy the scenery away from the busy city. Definitely worth visiting!

The Fun Pass is really useful and great. However, if you try to enjoy all these benefits within a short schedule, your trip might become too exhausting. So, I recommend comparing the monetary value of the benefits you'd get and then making your purchase. For attractions like Yehliu Geopark, Jinguashi, and the Shifen Sky Lantern experience, you might find it more effective to purchase a separate Fun Trip Yehliu-Shifen-Jiufen-Jinguashi (YES FOG JING) bus tour and use them together. Also, as a side note, I recommend adding the Funlab bag-making experience to your itinerary. It's surprisingly fun and provides a cool space for a short break. The wood glue they provide takes a long time to dry after attaching materials, so rather than rushing to sew, it's better to glue the pieces, put them in a plastic bag, carry them carefully, and by the next day, they should be completely dry. Using glue will save you a lot of time.

I have to give it 5-stars based on value for your money. Seniors (65+) and primary school kids are free, and adults are less than $2! I paid extra for the little zoo tram as it was crazy hot, hundreds of school kids, and the monkeys are no joke! stole a water bottle right out of a boy’s hand in a big school group (ran off with it)! The best part was the water area, like a splash pad. Although older and rundown, it did the job of cooling us off. There’s 3 areas, with rain water coming from above, and two shallow areas maybe 1-4 inches of water. Animals weren’t too active due to heat/sun. Don’t recommend eating here as not many options, nor good quality.

You can just buy tickets on-site; there's no need to wait in line. There's a dedicated e-ticket exchange counter, which felt like a fast pass when taking the kids to the Water Garden. It was great! During the summer, there was also a limited-time inflatable waterslide, about two stories high. My kids were too young to try it, but watching other children slide down and bounce off the inflatable mat before splashing into the water looked very exciting! The waterslides at the Water Garden are all for children, so adults should definitely not slide down with them; the lifeguards will blow their whistles at you. Also, many adults were entering the water in clothes that weren't swimwear, which was quite confusing. It got more crowded as the evening went on, so if you want to enjoy cleaner water, it's best to go early.

Very easy to book and use. Need to get a physical ticket at the ticket counter on the 1st floor. I went on a weekday to 89th and 101th floor. Unfortunately the weather became cloudy and rainy around the evening time so the view was not that great, however managed get few photos whenever the clouds dispersed. The tuned mass damper on 88th floor was interesting. In my opinion going to 101th floor is not worth it. It is quite small and made like a fern garden. Also the windows are of half length. 89th floor will have much better views with full length glass walls.

Sister Zhu, number 18, is an excellent choice. She knows when to focus on uncomfortable areas and also mentioned she continues to take advanced courses. She also does charity work in her free time. It was really fun, and you can genuinely meet new people! The group I joined had a high proportion of women, and there were foreigners too. The first stop on the itinerary was Yuanshan to redeem a beer. It was quite bitter, and since I'm not a big fan of beer, I didn't really enjoy that first drink. Next, we visited two street-side bars in Xinyi. We redeemed a cocktail plus small snacks at one, and a cocktail plus a platter of fried food to share among a group of five at the other. Along the way, on the bus, with the wind blowing, enjoying the scenery, music, and hot dancing, even the most introverted person would be swept up in the atmosphere and join in the fun!
