Things to do in Healesville Sanctuary (Zoos Victoria)

The visit to Puffing Billy Railway was truly a wonderful and memorable experience. My family loves the scenic train journey through the beautiful Dandenong Ranges offered breathtaking views of lush forests and charming countryside landscapes. Is a must to visit Puffing Billy Railway when you in Melbourne. An unique attraction that combines history, nature, and fun.

there was only 5 of us during this tour, our tour guide was michael, he was really nice, offering to take pictures (since im alone) and answering our questions🙏

Our guide, David, was excellent! He was funny, always smiling, and very attentive, constantly checking in on us. 50% of what I loved about this trip was the Puffing Billy, and the other 50% was definitely David, our guide! 👍🏻

This time, I bought the 3-attraction pass, which was a great deal. I visited Healesville Sanctuary (the bird show has two performances, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, with different content, so I recommend seeing both; the platypus is also a must-see), Sovereign Hill (this pass included a mine tour, and you can choose your time slot when exchanging tickets at the entrance; Chinese-language tours are available), and SEA LIFE Melbourne Aquarium (you can see penguins up close, separated only by glass; there are many species and a huge crocodile).

The tour-guide aka driver was extremely professional! Throughout the journey, he provided real-time explanations about the ecology and history of the areas we passed by. Whenever we encountered wildlife, he would promptly remind us so we wouldn’t miss the chance to see them. You could truly feel his attentiveness and thoughtfulness in every detail. This wasn’t my first time joining a tour to Puffing Billie Railway, but it was definitely my favorite. I will absolutely recommend this experience to my friends when they visit next time.
