Things to do in Healesville Sanctuary (Zoos Victoria)

Simon is the driver and tour guide. He is very professional and customer oriented. He has a great sense of humour. We have enjoyed this one-day trip very much!

Our tour guide didn't provide much information along the way. After taking us to the train, we boarded individually. The itinerary felt a bit rushed. The weather was great that day, so we saw very beautiful scenery, but the train only went one way, so remember to take pictures quickly on the outbound journey.

The driver was very humorous and interesting! He patiently took photos for us, his photography skills were excellent, and he took good care of the passengers. The overall itinerary intensity was moderate and quite comfortable. Also, there were very few people in the Healesville Sanctuary, so you could enjoy exploring the animals on your own. It's just a little disappointing that you can't touch any of the animals. The little train was a lot of fun, and many people waved to us along the way! I liked it. We arrived back in the city around 6:50 PM, which didn't affect our evening activities or rest at all.

Because the main focus was to ride the steam train, and because I didn't want a long drive to see penguins, I chose this tour. Although I felt the price was a bit high, convenience was important, and it was no problem even though I was the only one participating! I was very lucky that the other members on the bus were all great, and the driver was friendly and chatty. The steam train was very worthwhile, the weather was great, and the scenery was beautiful. I recommend that as soon as you get on the train with family and friends, you should quickly find seats, otherwise you might not get a seat on the right side where the scenery is more beautiful, or someone might cut in line! The zoo portion of the trip was okay; I didn't see many kangaroos, but I was still happy to see koalas! A minor incident: the bus was quite hot, and the chocolate I bought at the chocolate factory melted on the floor!

the zoo is amazing and especially the flight of the spirit show, I was wowed by it despite being there before and it’s definitely an highlight of the day

The zoo and Puffing Billy were both so much fun! Highly recommended! It was a small group of about 20 people in a medium-sized bus, which was very comfortable. The driver was very friendly!

Pick-up was smooth with no issues. The pace was just right, no drives were too long in between the spots. Puffing Billy was a lot of fun, Healville Sanctuary was great with a variety of animals to see, chocolate factory on the other hand wasn’t that great but the views of the valley there were superb. My family and I enjoyed the day trip very much!

It's very worthwhile to participate, and I chose the option with pick-up service. The driver arrived on time, and the staff were very professional when the hot air balloon took off. The Yarra Valley scenery is very beautiful and peaceful. I would participate again if I have the opportunity!!!
