The layout is great, and Sengan-en itself is wonderful. I spent a fulfilling five hours relaxing and gazing at Sakurajima after touring the gardens! I thought the Green Ticket included mochi and imo-shochu, but it only covered admission, two experiences, a meal, and a Shirokuma dessert.

this was a truly amazing experience. highly recommend. don’t worry about asking at the front desk about where to go - just follow the instructions on your voucher and state your name at the front desk of the restaurant and hot spring. the staff are super helpful.

Cozy San was a wonderful guide! She’s very knowledgeable about Sakurajima, Kagoshima and Japan as a whole. We learned a lot about Sakurajima, the history and the present.
