Things to do in Mount Rokkō

we were a small group of 12 persons in a comfortable coaster van. our tour guide mike was nice and friendly. we spent enough time to each destination. loved the castle and garden. we had a great lunch at a restaurant with tempura, udon noodles, rice and fish similar to eel with great service from the servers. enjoyed exploring the arima village and dipped our feet to onsen hotsprings. cooler weather on top of mt rokko overlooking great views from osaka and kobe. definitely recommendable!

Himeji Castle, also known as “Shirasagi-jo” or White Heron Castle, is one of Japan’s most iconic UNESCO World Heritage Sites, inscribed in 1993.

It was a comfortable day with just the right amount of time for shopping and hot springs. However, we had to go down the mountain immediately due to heavy fog when we got to Mt. Rokko. It doesn't matter, we can go again next time if we have the chance.

The price is reasonable. You will receive an email with detailed information of the tour guide name, car number and meeting place before departure. The time of visiting the places is reasonable.

Quite a good pace of travel from 11.30am till ~8.30pm. Covered Kobe port to foreign-theme residence, to Arima Onsen and Arima cable car for the night view. Smooth journey, good information provided by guide Yiyi, clean van. we had a fun day. Light Jacket may be required at the top of the mountain.

Very fulfilling itinerary. The tour guide Mike is also very good. Meeting point in the morning: If you take the subway Namba Station Exit 7 (you need to walk a little inside the station) (p1) Come out (you will see a convenience store first) and walk to the right (p2) until you see a few buses.

It was a very enjoyable trip because the guide explained things very kindly.

The tour guide Xiaotang took great care of all the group members throughout the trip. It was not easy to take care of both English and Mandarin speakers. The gorgeousness of Himeji Castle is definitely worth a visit; the public footbaths and small shops on the roadside around Arima Onsen are worth recommending. The only thing is that the weather was not good, so we could not see the sunset scenery of Kobe and Osaka at Rokko Mountain. The whole tour was definitely worth the money.
