Lake Toya tours

That was the highlight of my trip to Japan. our guide Tetsu was very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. the hotels we stay at were amazing. Itinerary is well thought through, every single spot is breathtaking.

Participation date: October 29, 2025. Due to the snowfall the day before, we couldn't visit Hoheikyo Gorge, which was a little disappointing, but we got to see the autumn leaves in the snow at Jozankei. Because the time spent at each attraction is limited, it's recommended to bring your own lunch or buy it at a convenience store and enjoy it by Lake Toya to have more time to enjoy the scenery. Be sure to check the Usuzan Ropeway schedule, as it's the most rushed attraction on the itinerary. I was lucky to meet punctual and friendly group members, and I thank tour guide Zhou and the driver for making the trip go smoothly. Overall, it's a very convenient option for independent travelers. (Note: Seats on the right side of the bus offer a chance to see Mt. Yotei up close on the return trip.)

Our family of 5 took the trip with our guide, Lucy. She’s helpful and informative. The trip was very accommodating to our plan getting around the area. Our highlight was the Lake hill farm. unfortunately we didn’t stay long there but we enjoyed our time during the trip.

I recently took this one-day tour to Lake Toya and Lake Shikotsu, and it was absolutely worth the money. It is a very well-paced itinerary that allowed us to see several of Hokkaido’s most beautiful natural landmarks within a single day without feeling overly rushed. Our guide, Xixi, was fantastic. She was incredibly knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make the trip memorable. Not only did she provide great commentary on the sights we visited, but she also shared a wealth of "insider" recommendations for other locations to visit in Hokkaido and pointed us toward the "best in category" restaurants for local food.

it was a chill trip south of sapporo to see some nature. enjoyed way too many ice creams. the gelato at lake hill farm was really really good, and i’ve had a lot of ice creams. we had lucy as our guide, she shared a lot of information about hokkaido and was really passionate about the city :) everything was communicated smoothly and we all had a great time

Lucy is the most dedicated and responsible tour guide I've encountered in recent years. From departure to our return home, all the itinerary explanations were incredibly clear, allowing us to travel with peace of mind. Lucy provided us with a wealth of knowledge about Hokkaido's history, culture, and culinary scene, ensuring that we not only relaxed comfortably on the bus but also enjoyed comprehensive and fascinating commentary. Our bus driver was also extremely conscientious, with excellent driving skills. He maintained stability even on winding mountain roads. For long-distance bus tours, a reliable driver is essential, and today's driver truly showcased the meticulous and diligent side of the Japanese people. I am very satisfied with this tour, and the itinerary planning offered exceptional value! I will definitely participate again in the future! We were very lucky to have tour guide Xiao Hong, who happened to be Taiwanese. He introduced us to the history of Hokkaido and the scenery along the way. More importantly, he speaks Mandarin, English, and Korean. The only minor drawback might be the long travel distances, which meant we could only make brief stops at some attractions. However, tour guide Xiao Hong thoughtfully reminded everyone about boarding and alighting times and to ensure they had all their belongings. Thanks to his guidance, we learned so much more about Hokkaido.

Today's itinerary was fantastic! The schedule was exactly as described. Lake Toya and Lake Hill Farm were incredibly beautiful, and the bears at the Bear Park were so cute. Especially our guide, David, who was absolutely amazing! 👍👍 He gave us so much information about Hokkaido and each attraction, and his recommendations for food and activities were spot on. He was the best guide we've had during our trip to Hokkaido! We watched the fireworks on the lake, enjoyed a day trip to a Toya Lake onsen (hot spring), ate ice cream and fried chicken, and appreciated the beauty of Hill Farm and Lake Toya. It was a perfect day!
