Stayed here for about 35 minutes only after roaming around and after taking pictures. Got a bit lost finding the queue but the security/ staff are very nice and accommodating. It's a good experience for those who are in Taipei for the first time. But there were just too many people. No one could take a whole body photo by the sunset side (the 1st side you see right after stepping off the elevator) because some people were just sitting on the floor facing the view and just blocking it for long periods of time. There are other sides of the observatory with fewer people that we were able to take photos. Sunset photo was taken at around 5:40-5:45pm on the first week of March. Good for first timers in Taipei, but will not repeat it again.

We had an amazing day visiting Taipei Zoo and riding the Maokong Gondola! 🐼🚡 Taipei Zoo is very spacious, clean, and perfect for families. There are so many animals to see, and the habitats are well designed. The panda area was definitely a highlight, and the kids loved seeing the elephants and koalas too. Even with children, it was easy to explore because there are plenty of rest areas, food stalls, and clear walking paths. After the zoo, we rode the Maokong Gondola, which was an unforgettable experience. The cable car ride gives you beautiful panoramic views of Taipei and the surrounding mountains. The ride was smooth, relaxing, and perfect for taking photos. When you reach Maokong, there are many tea houses and scenic spots where you can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and fresh mountain air. Overall, it’s a fantastic combination for a day trip in Taipei—nature, animals, and stunning views all in one place. Highly recommended for families and anyone visiting the city! 🌿
