Things to do in Shenkeng Old Street

Love the kavalan whiskey visit. It was an eye opening trip. The environment was pleasant and the whiskey tasting was lovely. There was sufficient time allocated for it and we had enough time to ask the sales questions to get the whiskeys we wanted. The gelato whiskey are a must try. The craft beer visit was interesting too although i would think the alcohol is a little too much and not to my taste but the experience over fun overall. The view up in the tower overlooking the area is fun though. Taiwan Brewery as the last stop was nice. The place was big and the history of it could be seen. The Shaoxing soaked eggs are also a must try. By this time, i had too much alcohol to be able to try any beer here but the recommendation of the 18 days beer by our influencer tour mate was a wonderful recommendation. The old street was a lovely walk down history too.

Our guide, Louis, was informative and helpful. He was also our driver who took care of our safety and was us throughout the tour of all the places we went. The duration for every visit was sufficient and he made sure that we were comfortable instead of rushing us. Overall I enjoyed the tour.

Sister Zhu, number 18, is an excellent choice. She knows when to focus on uncomfortable areas and also mentioned she continues to take advanced courses. She also does charity work in her free time. I booked a service for 10 AM to around 2 PM and received a quick response. The directions were clear, making the location easy to find. The reception staff were warm and polite, and the therapist was friendly, skilled, and meticulous. It was an unexpectedly excellent massage experience.

Very easy to use, just scan your code and they'll give you a receipt with a QR to use on the gates. No problems using it at Maokong Gondola and Taipei Zoo. I was also able to use the zoo train one-way.

The overall experience was excellent; I will definitely come again next time!

Thai massage options: If you don't mind a bit of pain, acupressure is a good choice. If you're sensitive to pain, I recommend an oil massage. I foolishly thought an oil massage meant being completely undressed, based on what my sister told me, but after asking, I found out it's not like that at all. Many thanks to Klook! Masseuse: Her skills are excellent, and I particularly enjoyed the gua sha. She applied a bit too much pressure, but you can easily communicate with her to lighten up. She's incredibly thoughtful, and I even got burdock tea after the massage. Ambiance: It's quiet, but it would be even better with some music. Location: It's very close to the MRT station and bus stop, so after your massage, you can head to Tonghua Street for food and shopping.

Booking our tickets online right before entering Taipei Zoo turned out to be a great move, as paying in PHP was noticeably cheaper than purchasing directly in NTD at the gate. The zoo grounds are massive, beautifully maintained, and offer incredible value, but timing is everything when visiting. Arriving at 1:00 PM already put us on a tight schedule, and an unexpected two-hour rainstorm completely stalled our plans. Because of the weather delay and the sheer size of the park, we weren't able to explore the entire zoo, but we definitely plan to visit again on our next trip to Taipei. For anyone planning a visit, I strongly recommend buying your tickets online in advance for the best rate, arriving right when the park opens, and packing umbrellas so a sudden downpour won't cut your day short.
