Things to do in Higashi Chaya District

Katie was amazing. She was able to take us through Kanazawa and really show us the culture of the city. My family and I enjoyed the knowledge and history of the geisha district, Samurai residences, Omicho Market. Katie shared a croquette location at the market that i will NEVER forget!! Also, don't forget the gold leaf ice cream!

I highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Kanazawa. Everything was fantastic, and Yasushi was truly excellent – possibly the best guide I've ever had on a tour.

We had a wonderful time at the tea ceremony, which was led by a very professional woman. The ceremony was conducted in French, which was a real plus. Everything was perfect, and I highly recommend this activity during your stay in Kanazawa.

We took the one-day tour and it was perfect: enough free time to visit, diverse and very interesting activities… Aiko is a particularly sunny and attentive guide, always available to give good advice :). I highly recommend it!

The entire itinerary was very well-organized. We went to Shirakawa-go in the morning, with plenty of free time to explore. In the afternoon, we visited Kenrokuen Garden and enjoyed a Japanese sweets-making experience and a gold leaf postcard-making experience. Our guide, Yasushi, was fantastic. He was very professional and provided detailed explanations, and he was friendly and attentive. A perfect score of 💯! This trip is well worth it and highly recommended ^_^.

Akari was our private tour guide in Kanazawa. She was wonderful and very helpful. We asked to go through a specific Samurai house and she added it to our itinerary and shared many interesting things about the history with us. She was patient and great with our 14 and 10 year old children. We also asked for many recommendations and she was able to help us. Thank you very much for accommodating us!
