Things to do in Kenroku-en

Beautiful walk, well-maintained areas. My two boys, aged 11 and 13, enjoyed the place and searching for key points on the map. Recommended.

Had a great time. Our guide Keita took time to give us lots of background info. We did the full day tour that included painting the Daruma and this was a fun activity and a great way to also see parts of Kanazawa. I would definitely recommend this tour.

Great walking tour in Kanazawa! Keita was very fluent in English and extremely knowledgeable. He kindly explained everything to us and gave us some great recommendations. The taxi ride was a great plus, as it allowed us to visit the geisha district as well.

Yuzuki was amazing- he took us away from the crowds and showed us beautiful temples and shrines, including one where he talked to the monk and got us access inside with very interesting information. We also saw the more popular spots but we appreciated the tranquil locations. Yuzuki's love for Kanazawa shows in his enthusiasm. His English is also excellent.

This tour was a lot of fun. Our tour guide Daniel was knowledgeable, confident, and took very good care of myself and the other guest. I highly recommend this trip to anyone who wants an in depth look inside Kanazawa.

The guide was fantastic, with perfect English, very helpful, and historical and general knowledge far beyond average.

Selda was an excellent guide. We highly recommend her if you are American for her strong English speaking ability. We were guided through the Samurai and Geisha districts on a rainy day. We also visited a few local shops, the Omicho market, and had a local lunch. We finished out with the Kenrokuen garden and castle wall. It feels like we packed a lot into a single day.
