Love this Ryokan. The host was very nice and friendly and the room was excellent. Love the public bath, that was on 1st floor. The traditionel japanese breakfast was a MUST-DO. If I ever get to Kyoto again, i would stay here.

Excellent. The location is in Kyoto's best commercial area. You can walk to Kiyomizu-dera Temple, and there are many places to stop by along the way. There are many great restaurants and bars nearby. The accommodation is a bit small, but it has everything you need. The free drinks (2 tickets per day) like beer, wine, or lemon sour at the rooftop are great! I would like to stay at this accommodation again.

Spacious rooms and friendly staff. The hotel lobby is very convenient, with plenty of seatint space, tree coffee and tea and even a free glass of sake in the evening. (One sake per persoon per night is free of charge.)

I had the loveliest stay here. the staff were incredibly helpful and I felt for the cleanliness, atmosphere, and space, my room was an absolute steal at $75 (before breakfast). personally I do not highly recommend the breakfast. it is convenient if you are going to want to eat something very early in the morning, but otherwise, nishiki market is so close and offers many (in my opinion, better) options. I loved that they have the free sake and the 24 hour coffee and matcha machine in the lobby! this was a lifesaver after a day of travel. it’s a really beautiful hotel and you just can’t beat the location. so much good food and shopping as soon as you step outside.

Convenience: Located near the shopping street, very convenient. Service: Chinese-speaking staff available, no need to worry about language barriers! Cleanliness: Option to choose whether or not to have cleaning service.

The location is absolutely fantastic, right in the middle of the shopping district, making it convenient to go anywhere. The staff is enthusiastic and friendly. The room is a good size, with plenty of space to open two suitcases. The bathroom is amazing, with a large space, strong water pressure, and a superb bathtub. Be sure to take a bath every day! I would definitely stay here again.
