Since many of Kyoto’s main attractions are relatively short taxi rides apart, the hotel’s location was excellent for getting around. It was ideally situated and made traveling between the sights very convenient.

We chose based on location and prior ratings. Beautiful hotel, multiple restaurants available, indoor pool available, and English speaking staff. The mattress and pillows could use some updates. I dont like pillows that I have to fold over to support my neck/ head. Thankfully we only stayed one night. Mattress was hard to get comfortable upon. There were excessive decorative pillows in our room. I also found the lack of bathroom exhaust problematic for excessive shower steam. Well thought out bathroom amenities of face cloth, toothbrush, toothpaste, combs, and other items in wooden box (missed using because out of sight). Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are provided in dispenser in shower/tub area. BEST part of our hotel experience is the TOTO bidet toilet set up♡ But with three of us sharing I felt rushed in my enjoyment.

Clean rooms with great staff assistance. Plenty of high end restaurants in the hotel. Free ice cubes and drinking water machine in each floor are great. 5 minutes walk to Kyoto Station. Hotel offers free parking space:-) And free shuttle bus every 20 minutes until 7pm
