Fantastic 5.0
If you're visiting Surfers Paradise, you absolutely have to experience the highest and most beautiful views of the Gold Coast. I recommend coming in the afternoon so you can see the daytime view, the sunset, and the night view. Night views are prone to glare when taking pictures. I don't think you need to include breakfast; just seeing the view is enough. Buying tickets on-site costs AU$45, but pre-purchasing tickets on a platform is super cost-effective and you don't have to wait in line for too long.

Fantastic 5.0
Movie World is the closest to a 'theme park' of the Gold Coast's Big 4. It's not huge, but the IP is solid, so even though Dreamworld is large, it feels like it's just 'filled with rides,' whereas Movie World feels full of content. Wet'n'Wild is the most 'Gold Coast'-like water park of the Big 4. When I was looking to book separately, I found that the price difference between buying tickets for two of the four parks separately and this package wasn't that big, but I'd have to specify dates, and I thought it would be a disaster if it rained. I had a great time at 3 of the Big 4 parks with this package, excluding Dreamworld.

Fantastic 5.0
The day before the activity, you will receive an email from the travel agency informing you of the meeting time and location. Upon check-in, the travel agency staff will collect the ferry fee (AUD 80 per person, payable in cash or by credit card on-site) and attach a colored sticker to your hand (there are four colors in total for this group, with approximately 20 to 30 people per color). The trip from the Gold Coast to Brisbane takes about an hour. After picking up another group of passengers in Brisbane, the bus will head to the ferry terminal to board a 90-minute ferry to Moreton Island. The scenery on the island is beautiful! After disembarking, two color groups will head to the desert first, one color group will go to the beach for snorkeling, and one color group will go to the beach for kayaking. There will be a brief explanation of how to put on the equipment and a safety briefing on the shore. Kayaks are for two people. When the kayak slides next to the Tangalooma Wrecks, the instructor will distribute flatbreads to each boat. When the flatbread is thrown into the water, the fish will come over to eat. Because the kayak is transparent, you can clearly see the fish underwater, which is a very special experience. After kayaking, everyone will put on the same equipment and be taken in groups of six on a small boat with a floating board to the Tangalooma Wrecks. Put your head down and put your goggles in the water, and you can see many, many small fish swimming around. Getting up close and personal with marine life is really fun. The snorkeling equipment is very complete, so you don't have to worry about getting cut by the reefs. After playing in the water, there will be a 20-minute lunch break. It's a buffet, and the table will have flatbreads, onions, lettuce, tomatoes, meat and various sauces, so you can make your own tacos. There will be cold drinking water and sunscreen available next to the table. After eating, a large bus will take you to the desert area for sandboarding. The bus will play enthusiastic music, which is a special experience with the shaking of the bus. I was originally worried that my hair would be wet from playing in the water and that I would easily catch a cold on the long journey back to the Gold Coast, but I didn't expect my hair to be almost dry after sunbathing in the desert. After arriving in the desert, the leader will distribute a wooden board to each person. Everyone takes their own board to the sand dune and then slides down on the board. Each person will have 1-2 chances, and then take the bus back to the ferry boarding area. The bus will provide ice water for you to fill your own water bottles. After returning to the Tangalooma Wrecks, you can play in the water again. After the single-ticket passengers and vehicles have boarded the ferry, the group-ticket passengers can board. Because the group ticket price is lower, it is basically difficult to find a seat with a table when boarding. But after playing all day, you will be hungry on the boat, so if possible, you can prepare and bring your own fruits, biscuits, and other foods that can be eaten without a table, so you won't be hungry while watching others eat. Drinking water is not provided on the boat, so you must also prepare enough drinking water. In addition, because this is a tourist attraction visited by travelers from all over the world, you should also pay special attention to cultural differences. Some white cultures may use multiple bags and place them on multiple benches, which means that these benches may be used by someone in their group later. This is different from Chinese culture, where one item represents one person. Be careful not to sit on chairs that have already been reserved by someone else, otherwise you may easily get yelled at, since white people are still the majority on the boat.

Fantastic 5.0
Very stable and safe. They arrived at the hotel on time at 3 o'clock to pick people up by minibus. There was a bathroom break in the middle, and then they arranged for us to board the hot air balloon. We could see the ignition process, watch the sunrise in the hot air balloon, and flew for about 45 minutes. Some groups flew for a longer time and further, depending on the driver. Afterwards, we all packed up the hot air balloon together and got back on the bus. First, we went to the hotel for a buffet breakfast. The bus will take guests who did not choose the buffet breakfast to their pick-up point. The buffet is at The Star Hotel, which is very lavish 👍🏻

What to know before visiting Gold Coast

Top Attractions in the Gold Coast

Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary

You can meet koalas, kangaroos, and many Australian animals in this large wildlife park. It’s great for families and offers shows, feeding sessions, and close encounters. The sanctuary sits near beautiful coastal areas, so you can enjoy the beach afterward.

Warner Bros. Movie World

One of the Gold Coast’s most popular theme parks, Movie World features roller coasters, movie-themed rides, and live entertainment. Kids will love meeting superheroes and cartoon characters, while adults enjoy the big thrill rides.

SkyPoint Observation Deck

Located at the top of the Q1 building in Surfers Paradise, SkyPoint gives you amazing 360-degree views of the coast. You can grab a drink, take photos of the Surfers Paradise skyline, or try the SkyPoint Climb for extra adventure.

Australian Outback Spectacular

This live dinner show brings the Australian outback to life with horses, music, and storytelling. You’ll watch skilled riders, special effects, and a heartwarming story while enjoying a three-course meal. It’s a great night out for families, couples, or anyone who wants a taste of Australia’s rural culture.

Best Places to Visit in Gold Coast

Surfers Paradise

This is the heart of the Gold Coast, known for its golden beach, tall hotels, and nightlife. You can swim, learn to surf, shop, or enjoy restaurants right by the ocean.

Broadbeach

Broadbeach is calmer than Surfers Paradise but still full of things to do. It has parks, markets, beach playgrounds, and great dining. It's perfect for families and travelers looking for a more relaxed area.

Headlands

Headlands around the Gold Coast offer some of the best views of the coastline. Burleigh Heads is especially popular for its national park walking trail, picnic spots, and local cafés. Surfers also love the waves here.

Tips for Visiting the Gold Coast

1. Book theme park tickets early

A Gold Coast experience is not complete without its theme parks, and popular ones can sell out during busy seasons. Booking ahead saves time and sometimes money, especially during school holidays.

2. Use public transport or shuttle services

Buses and trams make it easy to get around famous beaches and attractions. The G:link tram runs between Broadbeach and Helensvale, and many theme parks offer shuttle buses.

3. Plan beach visits in the morning

Winds are calmer early in the day, making the Gold Coast water clearer and better for swimming or surfing. Lifeguards patrol flagged zones, so swim between the red and yellow flags for safety.

4. Keep sunscreen and water with you

The Gold Coast is sunny most of the year, and UV levels can rise quickly. Bring sunscreen, a hat, and water when exploring beaches, walking trails, or outdoor parks.
