Reviews summaryThe experience was fantastic! The itinerary is well-organized, and I was grateful that the sequence of the activities (sandboarding, kayaking, snorkelling) I was assigned to was perfect because the sand, sweat, and sunscreen were washed off during the snorkelling, haha. We had an early lunch, before noon. The DIY wrap was quite filling, so don't worry about whether you have the strength to play, haha.
overall I enjoy the trip. it is well organized and efficient. Things go as described. However, there is certain information that you should be aware in advance. The activities can be physically intense, so opt out if you are not fit enough. In addition, the guides will not take care of us personally. You should be able to follow the group. They will separate us into 4 groups, 15 people each, to do 3 activities; sandboarding for 2 groups together while snorkeling and kayaking 1 group. There is only 1 guide for sandboarding and kayaking while 2 for snorkeling plus jet ski to make sure everyone alright. It takes around 30 min - 1 hour per each activity. I was lucky that the group started with sandboarding and then snorkeling and kayaking, so after get wet can just change. Lunch is make your own wrap type, so you can choose what you like, plus potato chips and chocolate chip cookies. Toilets on the island are not good and no shower room, so make sure to use toilet on the ferry and bring your towel. We saw the whale from the ferry, so watch out. The group before us saw 3 turtles during snorkeling, but we didn’t - lots of fish though. Be careful of shipwreck and coral as it can be shallow and difficult to move. Also kayaking was relatively short, all these due to strong current which is understandable.
I choose to pick up the boat at the Coach Terminal on Roma street at 7 am. It takes about an hour to drive to the port. Moreton Island Adventure is a very large ship that can also carry cars, which is very cool. Activities include transparent canoeing, snorkeling and sandboarding. Canoeing is very interesting. You can row near the shipwreck area and throw bait to attract fish to eat. You can see many fish species while snorkeling, but the species are limited. The water is relatively clear, but the scenery on the seabed is average, plus the snorkeling people. There are many canoes, so it is easy to interfere with each other, and I feel that it is not as beautiful as Cebu. Moreover, there were about 20 people in a group snorkeling, and only one leader and one person on a jet ski were watching over them. At one point, they fell behind the group because of snorkeling, and they didn’t know where the group went. The staff of the jet ski discovered it and took them there. I'll send it over. At noon, it is a simple buffet style, offering kebab-like burritos. The time for sandboarding was about one o'clock in the afternoon. You had to climb all the way up the slope barefoot, and the wind was so strong at the top that the sand blew all over your head and body. When you came down, the sand would also get into your clothes and pockets. It was really full of sand. Go home in shame.
Friendly and experienced staff who made tour journey become safe and fun. Saw lots of fishes during snorkeling and kayaking. Unluckily, sand boarding was canceled due to the bad weather ( The sand was too wet), but we were still able to go for a walk on desert and took some good pictures
It’s a good day out in Moreton Island. Enjoyed kayaking with transparent kayaks and saw fish swimming under our feet. Snorkeling tour was fun too but water was chilling even with wetsuits on. Sand-boarding was a rare experience and we lived it. Simple buffet lunch with wraps, salad, chips, muffins and water included. Booking with Klook with spring promotion discount was good too.
very interesting and fun itinerary, it feels like we were thrown into the activities to enjoy ourselves. minimal guidance from the guides just enough to get the activities going
It was indeed a great experience for my husband and myself. Thanks to the friendly and experienced staffs who made tour journey become safe and fun. Sand boarding is a must go! Kayaking and snorkeling you cannot miss as the staff will explain to you the story about the shipwreck and the marine life in Moreton Island. Thank you Sunset Safari and the staffs.
I had the Moreton Island trip is Mar 16. Such well planned trip I would say! Shout for amazing crew Nedd and Jo. Nedd was patient and nice from the beginning to end. He introduced the trip into details when on the cruise. And he was there to help me during snorkeling. Without him, I wouldn’t enjoy the Snorkeling at all. Jo was there to help my mom as well even though my mom can’t speak English. Appreciate such wonderful crew team!
This tour was really fun! Moreton bay is legitimately pretty with crystal clear sea! Our tour guides were very friendly and helpful (the other staffs working there too!) Thanks so much for the tour, had a great time with friends there. Those with short-eye sighted can consider to bring prescription goggles by yourself as they only have normal snorkelling goggles.
the team are very very friendly and helpful. snow boarding, kayaking and dnorkelling are well arranged. the lunch is unexpectedly yum.
Good to know
