Things to do in New Taipei

We had the best time during this tour and Ms. Libby helped us a lot. She gave us tips and tricks on how to save time and have great photo spots. She also recommended great places and foods to eat with value for money. Would recommend this tour to first time visitors ❤️

I purchased a package deal for the public bath and dinner. The public bath was just okay, a bit old, but the dinner was highly recommended. Each dish was delicious. I bought the package on the spot, thinking it would be full and there wouldn't be any space, but surprisingly, we were the only two people in the restaurant, like we had the whole place to ourselves! It was such a great deal. I've never experienced having a restaurant all to myself before, highly recommended.

It was convenient to take a bus from the alley (?) stop across from Taipei Main Station and go directly to the front of the resort. The counter staff was friendly. The impression when I entered the room was the best. I think it was a divine move to choose an outdoor room. However, it took quite a long time to fill the water, so I was already in the water when it was about ankle-deep. Except for the water filling time, I was very satisfied.

glad i still had the chance to do this activity despite the rain. they are also very helpful in taking photos specially that i was travelling alone. highly recommend you buy this. since it is only one colour, it is cheaper

Our tour guide, Maggie Sun, is truly one of the best in Taiwan. She explains everything so well and always lets us know ahead of time when we’re nearing a tourist spot, giving us time to rest even for a bit.

riding the log train is a nice experience. not too expensive as well. 4-5 mins ride that will easily bring you to and from the wulai falls. manage expectations, as the cabs are a bit older.

It was unfortunate that it was raining so hard. Once the rain stopped, the cable car was in operation. Even though it is steep, I can assure you the ride is very safe. The ticket purchase is a round trip. Seniors and kids would actually enjoy the accessibility. I was impressed to see that even the garbage from the mountains was brought down to make sure it was disposed of properly and not to pollute the mountainside.

The trail is easy to walk along the stream. Full of phytoncides, refreshing and pleasant. Visited the Virgin Falls after the rain, magnificent and spectacular. Only a part of the Full Moon Falls can be seen, which is very different from the Virgin. The three halls of the visitor center have their own characteristics and are worth visiting. There are clean public toilets along the way, and the staff are hard-working. A good place to cool off in the summer, the road conditions are good, and there is free parking outside the park. There are also local farmers selling crops.

Although it is a small aquarium, it is unexpectedly interesting. Klook reservations need to be made in advance, but the date does not need to be fixed, and refunds can be made if not used, which is very convenient for people who have not arranged their itinerary. The Ocean Spirit Education Center is an acrobatic/dolphin show, and the more special ones are high diving and water ballet, which are less likely to be seen. The sea lions will even go to the stands, so you can watch them very closely. The dolphin show is more ordinary, and the whole process takes 1.5 hours, so be careful. The Underwater World Exploration Hall is an ordinary aquarium, and there is no large water tank. Don't have too much expectation. It takes about 15 minutes to complete. Be careful that the ceiling in front of some fish tanks is very low, and there is no warning, so you will hit your head if you are not careful!
