Fantastic 5.0
Gorgeous sunny day out for this Mt Rainier National Park trip. The driver, also our guide, was helpful and safely took us to see the highlights of the park, including the waterfalls and Reflection Lakes with still some time for short hikes. We are lucky to see Mt Rainier, still an active volcano covered by snow, clearly on this beautiful day.

Fantastic 5.0
It was originally raining that day, so I didn't have high expectations. However, after the tour guide drove us there, blue skies unexpectedly appeared, and we even saw a rainbow in the national park. The scenery in the national park is very beautiful, and it's quiet and peaceful in the off-season of winter with fewer people.

Fantastic 5.0
I joined a Klook day tour (the easiest option for solo travelers) to Leavenworth, a German-themed town about a 2-hour drive east of Seattle. On the way, we stopped at Snoqualmie Falls, a very tall waterfall, over 80 meters high. Even from a distance at the observation deck, I could still feel the mist from the falls. Later, on the way out, not long after we started driving, we encountered a herd of wild elk – probably more than I saw last week at Yellowstone National Park! Our guide even stopped the car so we could get out and take pictures, which was incredibly lucky! Leavenworth instantly made me feel like I was in Europe (even though there was a large group of Americans around). Since I couldn't possibly eat a whole pork knuckle by myself, I just ordered some German sausage.

You can unlock all the highlights in just one day, including Granville Island, Gastown Steam Clock, Canada Place, and Stanley Park. These pretty much cover all the must-see, classic attractions!

Tips before visiting Seattle

1. Plan for mixed weather

Seattle weather changes fast, especially near the water. Bring a light jacket and comfortable shoes, even if the forecast looks clear. You’ll be ready for rain, wind, or a warm break in the afternoon.

2. Use public transport or walk

Many popular Seattle attractions are within walking distance of downtown Seattle and Seattle Center. You can ride light rail, buses, or ferries to avoid traffic and parking fees. This also makes it easier for you to explore different neighborhoods.

3. Visit during shoulder seasons

Spring and fall offer mild weather and smaller crowds at museums, viewpoints, and markets. You also get good chances of clear days without the peak-season rush.

4. Save money with passes

City passes or bundled tickets can help you visit several tourist attractions for less. You can use them for places like the Space Needle, Chihuly Garden and Glass, and the Seattle Aquarium.

Book your Seattle CityPASS now through Klook so you can start exploring more for less!

5. Explore beyond downtown

Seattle has vibrant neighborhoods like Ballard, Fremont, and Capitol Hill, each offering different food spots, cafés, and parks. You can also take a day trip to Alki Beach, Bainbridge Island, or the Ballard Locks.
