Gorgeous sunny day out for this Mt Rainier National Park trip. The driver, also our guide, was helpful and safely took us to see the highlights of the park, including the waterfalls and Reflection Lakes with still some time for short hikes. We are lucky to see Mt Rainier, still an active volcano covered by snow, clearly on this beautiful day.

Fantastic 5.0
I joined a Klook day tour (the easiest option for solo travelers) to Leavenworth, a German-themed town about a 2-hour drive east of Seattle. On the way, we stopped at Snoqualmie Falls, a very tall waterfall, over 80 meters high. Even from a distance at the observation deck, I could still feel the mist from the falls. Later, on the way out, not long after we started driving, we encountered a herd of wild elk – probably more than I saw last week at Yellowstone National Park! Our guide even stopped the car so we could get out and take pictures, which was incredibly lucky! Leavenworth instantly made me feel like I was in Europe (even though there was a large group of Americans around). Since I couldn't possibly eat a whole pork knuckle by myself, I just ordered some German sausage.

Driving from Seattle to Vancouver takes about 2 hours, so joining a day tour is really simple and convenient! You can unlock all the highlights in just one day, including Granville Island, Gastown Steam Clock, Canada Place, and Stanley Park. These pretty much cover all the must-see, classic attractions!

What to know before visiting Seattle

Quick Seattle city snapshot for first-timers

Seattle’s Klook bookings cluster around attractions, observation decks and city tours, with attraction passes and viewpoint experiences among the most-booked categories. Demand pulses through summertime, giving the city a clear high season in August and quieter spells toward the end of the year.

Best times to visit and how prices behave

Klook data show August is the busiest month while December sees the lowest demand. Prices follow a similar pattern: Klook bookings typically put August among the priciest months, and January is usually the least expensive on average. Travellers seeking lower prices and smaller crowds will find January and the late-autumn months more attractive, while those after the full summer atmosphere should aim for July–August despite higher prices. Overall, demand and price broadly move together over the year, with peaks in summer and softer demand and slightly lower prices in winter.

Tips for travellers from Hong Kong

Most travellers from Hong Kong tend to finalise plans close to departure: Klook’s booking patterns show typical lead times around one day, with some bookings made up to about eight days ahead. If your trip is flexible, many experiences here can be booked a day or two out; if you’re travelling in peak summer months, consider locking key attractions or viewpoint experiences earlier to secure your preferred times. Use Klook to compare passes and observation-deck options so you can decide quickly when your travel window opens.
