Fantastic 5.0
Gorgeous sunny day out for this Mt Rainier National Park trip. The driver, also our guide, was helpful and safely took us to see the highlights of the park, including the waterfalls and Reflection Lakes with still some time for short hikes. We are lucky to see Mt Rainier, still an active volcano covered by snow, clearly on this beautiful day.

Fantastic 5.0
I joined a Klook day tour (the easiest option for solo travelers) to Leavenworth, a German-themed town about a 2-hour drive east of Seattle. On the way, we stopped at Snoqualmie Falls, a very tall waterfall, over 80 meters high. Even from a distance at the observation deck, I could still feel the mist from the falls. Later, on the way out, not long after we started driving, we encountered a herd of wild elk – probably more than I saw last week at Yellowstone National Park! Our guide even stopped the car so we could get out and take pictures, which was incredibly lucky! Leavenworth instantly made me feel like I was in Europe (even though there was a large group of Americans around). Since I couldn't possibly eat a whole pork knuckle by myself, I just ordered some German sausage.

Fantastic 5.0
Driving from Seattle to Vancouver takes about 2 hours, so joining a day tour is really simple and convenient! You can unlock all the highlights in just one day, including Granville Island, Gastown Steam Clock, Canada Place, and Stanley Park. These pretty much cover all the must-see, classic attractions!

What to know before visiting Seattle

Things to Do in Seattle

Chihuly Garden and Glass

Woodland Park Zoo

You'll see a lot of animals from around the world at Woodland Park Zoo. Walk through shaded paths, large habitats, and quiet green spaces, and explore at your own pace and enjoy year-round programs for all ages. After your visit, you can walk to nearby neighborhoods for food or coffee.

Pike Place Market

Pike Place Market offers you rows of food stalls, flower stands, small shops, and local vendors in one lively area. You can try seafood, browse baked goods, or grab snacks from food trucks as you explore!

The Gum Wall

The Gum Wall covers a brick alley with layers of colorful chewed gum, creating one of Seattle’s quirkiest sights. You can walk through the alley, take photos, and see how visitors add new pieces every day.

Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP)

The Museum of Pop Culture introduces you to music, movies, and pop culture through bold exhibits and creative displays. You can explore sci-fi rooms, video game galleries, and areas dedicated to live music history.

Tips before visiting Seattle

1. Plan for mixed weather

Seattle weather changes fast, especially near the water. Bring a light jacket and comfortable shoes, even if the forecast looks clear. You’ll be ready for rain, wind, or a warm break in the afternoon.

2. Use public transport or walk

Many popular Seattle attractions are within walking distance of downtown Seattle and Seattle Center. You can ride light rail, buses, or ferries to avoid traffic and parking fees. This also makes it easier for you to explore different neighborhoods.

3. Visit during shoulder seasons

Spring and fall offer mild weather and smaller crowds at museums, viewpoints, and markets. You also get good chances of clear days without the peak-season rush.

4. Save money with passes

City passes or bundled tickets can help you visit several tourist attractions for less. You can use them for places like the Space Needle, Chihuly Garden and Glass, and the Seattle Aquarium.

Book your Seattle CityPASS now through Klook so you can start exploring more for less!

5. Explore beyond downtown

Seattle has vibrant neighborhoods like Ballard, Fremont, and Capitol Hill, each offering different food spots, cafés, and parks. You can also take a day trip to Alki Beach, Bainbridge Island, or the Ballard Locks.
