Fantastic 5.0
The experience was fun for the whole family. It wasn't too difficult to shave the wood, even for my 8 yr old. We chose Sugi, Walnut, Sakura, and Purple Heart. Victor K. was very helpful, professional, and patient. He provided clear instructions and helpful hints to make the beautiful chopsticks. You can tell he truly enjoys the craft of making chopsticks. The personalized engraving was a fun extra we all loved.

We had a great experience with this kimono rental service! As two friends visiting Kyoto, we booked the 10:00 AM slot and were a little concerned after reading some comments about it being crowded. While it was busy, it was much more organized than some reviews suggested, and everything ran smoothly. Visitors should expect the full process (choosing a kimono, getting dressed, selecting accessories, and having their hairstyle done) to take around 1 hour, especially during busy times. We felt this was completely reasonable given everything that is included. My friend wanted to wear a men's kimono, and the staff were very accommodating. Although her first color choice was unavailable in her size, they quickly suggested an alternative that she was very happy with. They were also able to do a hairstyle with my short hair, which I really appreciated. A special thank you to the staff member who seemed to be in charge. She was very efficient and gave excellent advice throughout the process.

Experience: 2/10 We were lucky that the costume team was quick and professional. They didn't try to push sales and offered the best advice, letting us change into the most harmonious kimonos. We were finished, with the whole family dressed and made up, in less than an hour. When we were taking family photos, it had snowed the night before, and when we were shooting at 10 a.m., it was lightly flurrying with graupel. The photographer said that in the almost 10 years he's been shooting the same scene, it was the first time he'd seen it with snow, and just the right amount of snowflakes falling. The photographer was very professional and gave us some pointers on how to pose for the photos, giving us many beautiful pictures.

An adorable staff and all very attentive, magnificent kimonos (including one with cat designs), an incredible hairstyle in just a few minutes. Well worth the price even if you don't keep the kimono all day, even if you find something a little cheaper elsewhere I advise you to come here to take your most beautiful photos.

We had such an amazing experience during our Kyoto photoshoot. From the beginning, Mr. Kai made us feel comfortable and guided us naturally through every pose, which helped us enjoy the moment instead of worrying about the camera. The photos turned out absolutely beautiful — every shot captured the atmosphere of Kyoto, the details of our outfits, and the emotions of the day perfectly.

Kyoto chopsticks making workshop is a great group activity to do when your feet have had enough of walking the endless stairs in kyoto. a very doable and satisfying process, that results in a very cool personally made souvenir. location is easy to find, central and there is an elevator to the third floor of the building. The workshop space is well set up and clean. The staff were attentive and very helpful and super friendly. Highly recommend this experience and going earlier in the morning than later on when its busier

we did the kimono rental experience with the tea ceremony. they had plenty of kimonos to choose from and the ladies who dress you up are really skilled in their craft - from wardrobe change to hairdressing. it was nice to be able to wear the kimonos outside after the class. it needed to be returned before 5pm which was plenty of time. the tea ceremony was a very beautiful experience. the ladies did a wonderful job in explaining the process and meaning behind the tradition and answered all our questions about matcha. I love how we were able to still take photos during the ceremony and the staff were nice to help take our photos in between the ceremony. they taught us the right way to wisk and appropriate tea ceremony behavior. I would truly recommend this experience to everyone!!
