Ich habe diese Chichen Itza Tour von Cancun aus gebucht und hatte insgesamt eine großartige Erfahrung. Die Abholung war um 5:15 Uhr morgens, und der Van war bequem genug, um während der 2-stündigen Fahrt ein Nickerchen zu machen. Einer der Höhepunkte war die frühe Ankunft in Chichen Itza vor den Menschenmassen. Unser Reiseleiter, Kevin, war sehr sachkundig und teilte faszinierende Einblicke in die Maya-Geschichte, während unser Fahrer, Razel, die Reise reibungslos und komfortabel gestaltete. Nach Chichen Itza hielten wir an einer Cenote zum Schwimmen, Mittagessen und zur Tequila-Verkostung. Die Cenote und die Tequila-Verkostung waren angenehm, aber das Mittagsbuffet war enttäuschend und unterdurchschnittlich. Der letzte Halt war Valladolid, eine charmante Stadt und eine schöne Ergänzung zur Reiseroute. Wir kehrten gegen 18:00 Uhr in unser Hotel zurück. Es ist ein ganzer 12-Stunden-Tag, aber es lohnt sich für jeden, der etwas über die Maya-Zivilisation erfahren und eines der neuen sieben Weltwunder besuchen möchte.

Der Besuch der archäologischen Stätten von Tulum und Cobá und der Abschluss mit der Cenote im Inneren, wo man in der Höhle schwimmen konnte, war unglaublich. Das ist wirklich ein Erlebnis, das man gemacht haben muss. Ich danke auch Kevin, unserem super netten und sehr lustigen Guide. Ich habe den Tag mit ihm und der Gruppe sehr genossen. Vielen Dank auch an den Fahrer José, der uns den ganzen Tag gefahren hat 💙🇲🇽

There was an issue with the Klook listing. It stated that a buffet lunch was included, but after I booked the tickets, the details showed that the buffet lunch was not included in the price. In the end, we had to pay extra for the buffet lunch on the day of the tour, but the food provided was absolutely not worth the price the restaurant charged. It was very disappointing. The tour guide had a very strong English accent. My husband, who has lived in the United States for nearly 30 years, could only understand about half of what he said. We often couldn't tell if he was speaking English or Spanish, though we could definitely feel the guide's dedication. We departed from downtown Cancun, and it was a truly packed itinerary. We had to be at the meeting point at 4:45 AM and didn't return until around 8:30 PM. It was an exhausting day. Because Chichen Itza was unexpectedly closed that day, the guide took us to Ek Balam instead. We didn't realize we were running out of water and ended up suffering from heatstroke after about half an hour without rehydrating. The weather that day was incredibly hot, which meant we didn't have the energy to properly explore Ek Balam. All we wanted was to get back to the entrance as quickly as possible to buy water. The planning by the staff at Ek Balam wasn't great; many ruins didn't have English explanations, and there was no place to buy water inside the site, only at the entrance and the parking lot. We hadn't planned on actually swimming in the Chichikan cenote, but we were surprised that the staff even required us to pay for a life vest and locker just to dip our feet in the water. Otherwise, we weren't allowed to enter at all and could only view the cenote from the observation deck. Since the water quality inside wasn't very clean, we decided not to go in after all.

The tour was over 3 hour drive from Cancun but the bus tour was very comfortable. Holbox Island has a very nice and calm beach.
