Things to do in Taichung

My trip to Alishan today was absolutely amazing and truly unforgettable. Everything was very well organized from start to finish. Our tour guide Alicia was incredibly sweet, friendly, and knowledgeable. she explained everything clearly and made the whole journey enjoyable. She took great care of the group and made sure we visited all the key spots without feeling rushed. The bus was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, which made the long drive very pleasant. The scenery in Alishan was breathtaking, from the mountain views to the peaceful nature and fresh air, it felt like a perfect escape from the city. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, very well managed, and I would highly recommend this Alishan tour to anyone visiting Taiwan. A big thank you to Alicia for making the day so special! 💚⛰️

We really enjoyed this Taichung day tour booked through Klook. The itinerary was well thought out and covered a lot without feeling stressful. We visited Zhongshe Flower Market, National Taichung Theater, Chun Shui Tang, Miyahara, Rainbow Village, and wrapped up the day at Gaomei Wetlands, which was absolutely beautiful, especially near sunset. Each stop had enough time to explore, take photos, and just enjoy the place. Zhongshe Flower Market was colorful and fun, Miyahara was unique, and Gaomei Wetlands was definitely the highlight of the trip. Our tour guide, Peter Chou, was lively, friendly, and very helpful throughout the tour. He kept the mood light, gave clear instructions, and was always ready to assist or answer questions. He really made the experience more enjoyable. Overall, it was a smooth and memorable day tour. Perfect if you want to see Taichung’s must-visit spots in one go. Highly recommended!

It was a very efficient and organized tour. Sophie (our tour guide) is very knowledgeable and shared a lot of stories. A friendly face to everyone. She’s helpful as well assisting us with communicating with shops who are having hard time in speaking english.. I love the idea of having the lunch, milk tea, and ice cream are pre-ordered and ready once we arrive in the destination. Saves a lot of time!

Klook offers discounted tickets for 1 adult and 1 child at $1315, which is cheaper than buying tickets on-site and includes a bonus Starbucks coupon. During the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, I took my child to Mala Bay for the first time. I recommend starting with the Lazy River and the inflatable water park (life jackets required for both adults and children). The double-rider waterslide at Abu Bay is also fun and exciting.

We truly enjoyed our visit to Taichung Natural Science Museum with our son. The interactive exhibits were fun, educational, and perfect for kids. A great place for family bonding and learning together

I didn't expect to see a professional circus in Taiwan! The price is really reasonable! There wasn't a dull moment, time flew by! Afterwards, we watched the dreamy bubble magic show! The bubble princess was so beautiful, and the performance was humorous and fun, making both adults and children laugh and interact and dance together! Highly recommended.

The toll booth signal was good this time, so I was able to use the Q code to redeem my ticket. I still recommend taking a screenshot before heading up the mountain just in case. Online ticket purchases include free parking. There are many trails to choose from, and staying in the cabins is a lot of fun. There are currently no shops, so remember to bring plenty of food.

Purchasing Klook tickets is more advantageous than buying them on-site. The environment is clean, the water quality is good, and the hot spring quality is excellent. The nude hot springs are separated for men and women and have pools of different temperatures, as well as spa, steam room, and sauna facilities. After soaking in the hot springs, we had lunch at the Hanami Western Restaurant. Although there aren't many food options, the food is all very fresh. There's no need to jostle with crowds to get food, and the service attitude is very friendly. Highly recommended.

This is my second visit to Basianshan Forest Recreation Area. I attempted the hellish Basianshan Main Peak Trail, and although I turned back after only 30 minutes, I still felt the danger with every step. Carelessness could easily lead to an accident.
