Coming to the Lin Family Mansion in Wufeng, Taichung, it feels like traveling through time and feeling the rich ancient atmosphere. There are scheduled guided tours on holidays. The tour guides' explanations are detailed and vivid. The one-hour tour not only allows people to understand the historical background, but also to appreciate the architectural aesthetics and cultural connotations of the Lin Family Mansion. The overall experience is great, the environment is well preserved, and it is suitable for friends who like history and culture or want to wander quietly. It is highly recommended to arrange a trip to Wufeng Lin Family during the holidays!
Nice place to visit to find out about culture of imperial chinese. Recommended to join guided tour, as many intricacies in the building and practices were explained. A bit off the usual track, good to drop by after visiting the Earthquake musuem.
Online ordering is very convenient, and combined with platform promotions, it's more affordable than buying tickets on-site. After purchasing, you'll need to go to the ticket booth to exchange for your tickets and get a hand stamp. If there are guided tours available, we highly recommend joining one; the explanations will help you understand the many hidden meanings within the architectural installations. It's definitely worth spending half a day visiting. On the afternoon of our visit, the venue was booked for a private event and not open to the public. We suggest checking the official website for opening hours before you go to avoid a wasted trip!
It is a national historic site and the only remaining first-class official residence from the Qing Dynasty in Taiwan. It consists of three major architectural complexes: the Gong Baodian, the Grand Flower Hall and the Thatched Cottage. Stroll around and savor the exquisiteness of Fujian-style official residences, and feel the splendor of a noble family. The MV for Jolin and Namie Amuro was filmed in the Grand Flower Hall! Drinks, ice cream, and souvenirs are sold in the park. Walking into the mansion is like browsing an encyclopedia of Taiwanese traditional architecture.
This national historic site from the Qing Dynasty is remarkably well-preserved, offering spacious interiors where you can clearly see the traces left by history. The grand stage in the main hall is also very impressive; Jolin Tsai once filmed a music video here.
Good place to visit together with 921 Earthquake musuem if there is time. Only a few bus stops away by bus service 50. Guided tour was good, otherwise would have missed out a lot of details and delicate details in building structure info.
Buying tickets on klook is fast and convenient, discounted tickets for two + Starbucks 100 yuan coupon. The Gongbaodi Park is very beautiful, and the large flower hall can even feel the style of a wealthy family.
a place with rich history and stunning architecture. if you already know about taiwan's history, i feel that this adds on to that and gives you an even better idea/image.
