I highly recommend this Sun Moon Lake + Cingjing Farm day trip! The itinerary was incredibly smooth, and the timing was perfect. I didn't have to plan anything myself, which was a huge relief. 🥰 The scenery at Sun Moon Lake was absolutely stunning. The boat tour around the lake offered breathtaking views, and I even got to try the famous tea eggs. Every photo I took looked like a postcard. Cingjing Farm, with its lush green pastures, felt like a mini-Switzerland. The sheep were adorable, and I loved being able to interact with them up close. The fresh air was so refreshing, making the whole trip relaxing and fun. A special thanks to our tour guide, Ken, who was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout the entire trip. His explanations were professional and humorous, and he shared interesting stories about the attractions along the way. His service was truly exceptional! I wholeheartedly give him a five-star rating. ✨ I highly recommend this trip to everyone, and if friends come to visit, I'll definitely recommend Ken again! Wishing him great success in his business!
We had a fantastic and enjoyable day on July 20th, led by our driver and tour guide, A-Ping. She promptly added my contact information and noted our pick-up and drop-off times and locations, which was incredibly helpful for someone visiting Taiwan for the first time! The entire day's itinerary included departing from near Taichung Station, then visiting Cingjing Farm, checking out The Old England Manor, and finally, Sun Moon Lake with a boat tour. Her management of time, the journey itself, and the comfort of the ride were all top-notch, earning a huge thumbs up! This experience further deepened my appreciation for Taiwanese people, especially listening to the stand-up comedy at Cingjing Farm – it felt like being at a live recording of 'Kangxi Coming,' so many great jokes! Even as we reluctantly got back in the car to head to the next spot, Sister A-Ping's witty remarks kept coming, instantly intensifying my desire to live in Taiwan. Magically, I even drew a 'Great Fortune' lot at Xuanguang Temple at Sun Moon Lake, and I hope everything goes smoothly in the future! Thanks again to Sister A-Ping for leading us; I loved every place we visited!
This day trip to Cingjing Farm and Sun Moon Lake booked through Klook was truly worth it! The itinerary was rich and well-organized, allowing us to perfectly experience the essence of Nantou in a single day. In the morning, we first took photos at the English Manor, which is full of European style, and then went to Cingjing Farm to experience the lovely interaction with the sheep and horse herds. We enjoyed a delicious lunch at Ji Da Wang Live Shrimp Beer City for lunch, and the afternoon Sun Moon Lake boat trip allowed us to take in the beautiful scenery of the lake and mountains. A special recommendation goes to our driver and tour guide, Mr. Wilson Liu! Not only was his driving skill smooth and safe, but he also provided detailed explanations of the characteristics of each attraction throughout the trip with his professional knowledge, and he even proactively helped us take group photos. Mr. Liu's thoughtful service made us feel right at home. His quality service is definitely one of the highlights of this trip, leaving us with unforgettable and wonderful memories!
The itinerary deserves a perfect score, and first, I'd like to express my gratitude to our driver and guide, Brother Ken! Brother Ken arrived very early to pick us up and took thoughtful care of everyone. Our first stop was Cingjing Farm. The journey wasn't short, and the mountain roads were winding, making me wonder if it would be boring, but it wasn't at all. Brother Ken started sharing many interesting local stories even before we began ascending the mountain, which was incredibly entertaining. He would share details about every place we passed. On the way up, we saw trucks transporting cabbages down from the high mountains, and we got a sense of the indigenous people's way of life, culture, and art. Even the place names we passed had their own history. Thanks to Brother Ken, I learned so much about Nantou. The mountains in Nantou are truly beautiful. Stepping into the vast mountains, I truly understood what it means to see layers of green peaks. The mountains seemed endless. Occasionally, we'd pass by cliffs, and in the distance, we could see riverbeds. It was the dry season, so they looked like shallow, scratch-like marks, with a few shimmering, wide, thin mirrors reflecting on them. The scenery was captivating. Upon arriving at the farm, the weather was perfect. Time seemed to stand still under the blue sky and white clouds, and we gradually felt the temperature becoming cooler. Sheep trotted on the slopes, creating little 'flowers' on the lush green grass. The walking path was built along the mountain, and a few horses grazed in the flat area below. In the distance, the continuous mountain ranges were hazy, only their general outlines remaining, blending into the azure sky. We walked along the path to the exit, where Brother Ken picked us up for lunch before taking us to our second destination, Sun Moon Lake. Getting out of the car, I was immediately drawn to the surface of Sun Moon Lake. It was more expansive than I imagined, with an emerald-like surface that seemed bottomless. Just then, fragmented sunlight fell upon it, creating shimmering ripples, like light, thin silk stretching and unfurling in the wind. Taking a boat tour of the lake was exhilarating. The breeze was refreshing, reducing some of the early summer heat. Brother Ken continued to provide explanations, deepening our impression of Sun Moon Lake. The boat stopped at several piers, and in the shallow waters near the shore, we could faintly see small fish. I guessed the fish were as happy as I was. During our free time, we walked to the Yuchi Township Farmers' Association's Ita Thao branch and bought Ruby Black Tea. It felt like a must-do to bring back some black tea from Sun Moon Lake. The Assam milk tea we bought from a roadside shop was also delicious. On the boat ride back, we could see the cable cars, adding to the relaxed atmosphere. Sun Moon Lake at sunset, with its water becoming deeper and more profound, gently smoothed away all worries. Even though we were reluctant to leave, it was time to head back. Brother Ken drove us back, again carefully reminding us to gather our personal belongings. On the way back, we watched the sun set, and the fields along the highway turned golden. The lingering warmth of the sun gradually faded, and our phone galleries filled with more and more photos. I thought to myself how truly happy this day had been, and it had passed by so quickly. As night fell, we finally returned to Taichung, and Brother Ken patiently dropped us off at our respective accommodations, bidding us farewell. I am so grateful to Brother Ken and to this one-day tour. It felt like a wonderfully beautiful dream. I love the mountains and waters of Nantou, and perhaps if I ever feel anxious again, looking back at this trip, recalling those interesting little stories, those adorable little sheep, and those lovely ripples, will bring me peace. I truly hope to have the chance to visit again!
This day trip experience far exceeded my expectations, and a special thanks goes to our tour guide, Ken! He was absolutely the heart and soul of the entire journey. Regarding the itinerary, Cingjing Farm was incredibly therapeutic, with adorable sheep, a spectacular equestrian show, and delicious, rich goat milk ice cream. As for Sun Moon Lake, it goes without saying that the scenery was as beautiful as a painting. Ken was witty and humorous, sharing fascinating stories about Taiwan's local history and culture throughout the trip, keeping everyone on the bus laughing. At each attraction, he transformed into a professional photographer, proactively helping everyone find the best angles, and his photography skills were top-notch! Thanks to Ken's thoughtful arrangements, the entire trip felt relaxed yet fulfilling. The next time I visit Taichung, I will definitely choose his tour again! I highly recommend him to anyone planning to visit Cingjing and Sun Moon Lake.
had a wonderful time without having to think so much. this tour made my travel a lot more convenient. shared a chinese meal with strangers. the tour guide, Dunken, is also funny and very attentive. overall, it’s a great taichung experience
During my trip to Taichung and Nantou, I was very fortunate to have Ken as both my driver and tour guide, and the overall experience was very satisfying. Ken was very considerate of the shared-ride passengers and proactively optimized the itinerary. For example, he arranged Cingjing Farm for the morning (ticket price NT$270, including Sun Moon Lake boat tickets), which avoided the fog and offered better views. Then, in the afternoon, we went to Sun Moon Lake, where all the shops were open, making it convenient for shopping and buying souvenirs. He also took many photos for everyone. Throughout the trip, he respected everyone's opinions and wasn't the kind of guide who just rushed through the itinerary, which was a big plus. Along the way, Ken introduced a lot about Taiwan's local customs and culture, such as how there are more betel nut shops in Taiwan than FamilyMart convenience stores. He also mentioned the movie "Warriors of the Rainbow: Seediq Bale" (based on the Wushe Incident). He has a very humorous personality and would use playful banter to liven up the atmosphere, for instance, joking that it takes a long time for everyone to understand what Hong Kong girls say when they speak. At the time, my travel companion had an urgent online meeting, so she was wearing headphones and didn't interact much with Ken in the car, which might have seemed a bit quiet. I'm a bit directionally challenged, so I was always a little late for meet-ups; I hope Ken didn't mind. During the trip, Ken suggested that we could charter a small yacht together, which would save us from waiting for public boat schedules, making the timing more flexible and the whole trip much smoother. The complimentary tea eggs were also super delicious! However, there's a small incident I'd like to mention: because my friend and I had a rather full breakfast, we didn't have lunch with the other shared-ride passengers. As a result, there was no restroom stop arranged on the way to Sun Moon Lake, and we went directly onto the boat upon arrival at the port, which meant my friend and I had to hold it in for a long time. After reaching our destination, we had to climb a long flight of stairs to find a restroom, which was a bit embarrassing. I suggest that in the future, it would be more thoughtful to provide advance notice about rest stops along the way.
We originally booked this expecting a guided bus tour, but it unexpectedly turned into a self-guided experience with a private driver, and all tickets arranged for us. In the end, it turned out to be an excellent tour. Everything went very smoothly, and we were able to follow the itinerary at our own pace. Our driver was kind, friendly, and very accommodating, with great English communication skills. The ride was also very comfortable and smooth throughout. Overall, it was a wonderful and enjoyable experience!!
I had such a wonderful experience on the Qingjing Farm and Sun Moon Lake tour! The cherry blossoms were absolutely stunning — so beautiful and perfect for photos. The scenery throughout the trip was breathtaking and peaceful. Our driver was very kind, friendly, and professional. He made the journey comfortable and enjoyable, and everything ran smoothly. Highly recommended if you want to enjoy Taiwan’s natural beauty in a relaxing way! 🌸
