Restaurants a Kinkakuji Temple

It is a bit pricey, but with its pretty garden and the feeling of being well-cared for, it's a restaurant that parents would love. We made a reservation in advance so we were able to get right in, and after eating, going right next door to Blue Bottle for coffee was just perfect.

I recommend buying the Tofu Skin Hot Pot to get the soy milk pot; the tofu skin is incredibly delicious. The earthenware pot on the small stove in the picture is for the tofu meal, and it contains 6 pieces of tofu soaking in water. Overall, it's good, but the all-tofu meal can be a bit heavy. The entire meal is meat-free, with only one scallop, but it's very fresh and sweet! The staff's attitude is excellent, and if you buy a set meal here, you won't have to pay again later. I was surprisingly full.

Excellent food, awesome ambience and beautiful presentation. It’s a must do experience although a little expensive compared to other such lunch around Kyoto.

Art! The chef was masterful. The presentation of each dish was beautiful. The staff were professional and sweet. My fellow diners were friendly and kind. It was a special evening that I will not soon forget.

Si veniu a Kyoto, heu de provar la cuina local de tofu. El personal del restaurant és molt amable i educat, i el jardí i l'arquitectura del restaurant també són molt bonics. Poder seure i gaudir d'un àpat en aquest entorn tan agradable, lluny del bulliciós carrer de Ninenzaka, ja és un plaer en si mateix. El que més em va impressionar va ser el tofu a la brasa amb miso; la salsa verda de sobre combinava perfectament amb el tofu. L'olla de tofu en si no tenia gaire condiment, i el brou era simplement un tros de kombu. Per a mi, el sabor del tofu per si sol era una mica suau. Espero que el restaurant pugui oferir més opcions de menú amb diferents maneres de preparar el tofu per enriquir l'experiència gastronòmica. 😌

Every dish was delicious, and the ingredients and presentation were exquisite. Overall, I was very satisfied with the meal. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the service was very attentive. The dishes were served faster than expected, so there wasn't a long wait between courses. The overall dining atmosphere was very comfortable, making it an excellent kaiseki experience.

La carn és molt bona per a la barbacoa amb la seva textura salada i amb salsa. El restaurant també ofereix begudes i verdures il·limitades!
