Asahiyama Zoo & Light up blue pond One-day Romantic & Winter Tour

Tour was fun and exciting. Our tour guide is Japanese and he's trying to do his best to speak English even though the tour indicated was Japanese

Pick up and drop off were prompt. The Asahiyama Zoo was great— was able to see the famed Penguin Walk. However, the 2 hr. stay is definitely short for the size of Asahiyama Zoo. For the Blue Pond, it was really magical, though the lake has completely frozen over and it was blisteringly cold, so the 30 min stay is enough. Overall, it was okay with me, but would rather have had an earlier departure time so that you can spend more time at the zoo. Oh, the travel time was very long as well: 11am start, drop off at Zoo was around 1:30pm. Left the zoo at 3:30pm and got to Blue Pond at 4:30pm. Left Blue Pond at 5pm, then got back at around 8:30pm. You may not eat or drink, but advisable to bring snacks to eat during stopovers.

The itinerary was well organized and we arrived 2 minutes before the Platinum Blue Pond lights up. It was indeed a bit of a surprise to go from pitch black to when the lights came on.

very good guide. although he can not speak english a lot but he make an effort by preparing notes in english. all participant happy with him. i think one of factors because guide is local not foreigner or hal japan that not to serious in handle participants

It is a good choice for travelers who do not want to take a car, but the visit time to the scenic spots is relatively short. The Japanese tour guide is very friendly and understands English and can give a brief introduction to the attractions. The light-up blue pond is very beautiful and worth visiting.

I booked the trip for the zoo and the zoo was great. However, there was something with the guide lady. At the meeting point (Hotel ANA Crown Plaza lobby), I approached her & the driver because they were the only group seemed to be the tour guide, showed her the voucher from Klook and asked her if they were the right contact person. I asked her in English. She and the driver denied right away without reading the voucher. I asked her twice, same result. In the end, I tried the hotel front desk, which were very helpful. And the lady came back, huff and puff, asking if the names on the list were us.

The day was well organized. The tour guide reminded everyone and led everyone to various attractions, and then allocated time for free activities. What's a pity is that the daylight hours in Hokkaido are short in winter, so it was completely dark when we arrived at Shirakushi Falls and Platinum Blue Pond, so we couldn't see the shocking picture of white snow in the sky. In addition, since you are a Japanese tour guide, you should pay attention to the tour guide's explanation and guidance, especially the location and time of getting on the bus, to avoid problems. Overall, the entire group was very satisfied and would join again if given the chance!

Asahiyama Zoo allows you to see penguins up close. The Platinum Green Pond and Shirasu Falls are beautiful scenery. The tour guide controls the time very accurately👍👍👍
