Fitzroy Island Day Trip from Cairns

would recommend taking the glass bottom boat to go further out and see more corals :) we spotted turtles as well!

We enjoyed the cruise ride and the glass bottom tour was mind blowing, we saw so many corals, but lunch was not suitable for us. If you’re a vegetarian and from India then I would recommend you to pack your lunch as well.

It's great if the weather is good. There are few people so you can relax. The rental snorkel and suit on the island are very expensive, about $50 for two. I recommend choosing the tour set. I took my time so I didn't end up using them. I received an email at around 6am on the day that the time would be delayed, so we left about an hour late, and we also left an hour late on the way back, so make sure you plan your trip with plenty of time. To get to the nude beach, you have to walk about 20 minutes through the mountains, and you can wear flip-flops, but it may be a bit difficult for small children. The beach is made of coral so your feet will hurt, so be careful. Apparently the jellyfish are already out at the end of October. There are not many restaurants so it's a good idea to bring your own lunch and food. Everything on the island was expensive. But it was a good memory. Thank you.

Because the hotel was next to the boat departure point, it was easy to walk to the ticket exchange! However, since several shipping companies go to Fitzroy Island, you must carefully confirm which one you booked with.

It was nice that there were fewer people compared to Green Island! But I'm not sure if there were that many fish. I recommend taking a glass-bottom boat tour rather than just snorkeling! You can go out to deeper areas.

The lunch was very nice, the snorkling gears were functional. If you want to visit Fitzroy Island this is your best option.

The sea on Fitzroy Island was beautiful and beautiful, making it an unforgettable memory. The third floor of the ferry was hot, but the second floor was air conditioned and comfortable. I rented goggles and fins for snorkeling, but I made a mistake by not renting a wetsuit. There were a lot of jellyfish that day, and we needed to wear suits, so we only swam in shallow water. The path to Nude Beach is more rugged than I expected, so I'm glad I wore sandals that won't slip off easily.

nice and fun activity. the guides were very welcoming and friendly! only sad part was that it was quite cloudy on that day and i couldnt get a tan in. for the snorkeling, the corals we saw were literally all dead and we had to constantly adjust our goggles as water kept leaking in despite it already being the tightest setting. very disappointing as i expected to see beautiful corals/fishes but the waters were all murky with filled with dead corals

Great island with several places to snorkel and enjoy a few drinks with delicious food
