Skyrail Rainforest Cableway and Kuranda Scenic Railway Tickets

We took the train up and cable car down. Did not realize that we were supposed to redeem tickets at the Cairns station. But station staff at Kuranda was very nice and allowed us to board anyways. Cable car made a few stops along the way for photos and views.

We took the Scenic Railway up to Kuranda Village and the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway back down to Smithfield — and it was the perfect combination for experiencing the beauty of the region!

Good experience, cable car took us to have a good view of the Barron Falls. Kuranda Village is a nice place to walk around. Finally the train ride provided us with nice scenery too.

great experience. instructions were clear. you can request to extend an hour when collecting tickets. do extend if you wish to have lunch & do some shopping or even do some hiking.

The meeting point was indicated above the station entrance, on the road side. (I didn't notice it at first.) However, you need to confirm as other tour buses also come to that location. You shouldn't be mistaken because you have a voucher, but this time, the driver mistook me for someone else based on his assumption. Just in case, I went to the meeting point earlier than the scheduled time, and the bus was parked with the driver waiting. He said my last name and told me to get on quickly. (It seemed the departure time for that bus had already passed.) But my meeting time wasn't until later! Even though I showed him my voucher and told him the meeting time was different, the driver left anyway. When I looked at the documents I received, sure enough, the name was different. The reception sheet only had the last name on it. They were already picking up the next guests, and it was too late to walk back from far away from the station. Finally, the driver realized his mistake, and after communicating with the company, I was able to speak with a Japanese-speaking staff member, and we ended up going to the Skyrail station. I was able to ride the Skyrail without any problems because I had the voucher, and after that, I was able to complete the itinerary smoothly. However, I wonder what happened to the real Ms. 〇〇? I don't think it was the driver's fault since the meeting time had already passed. By the way, the driver apologized to me, saying, "The reception sheet only had the last name on it. Sorry." and was complaining to the company.

Interesting and good fun. recommended doing the train first before the cable rail. we did it in reverse and fell asleep on part of the train trip.

Easy to use and plenty of time. The package includes cable car outbound tickets and train return tickets. There is a bus pick-up and drop-off at the hotel for the outbound trip, which is very convenient. Just follow the time and location of the confirmation email to meet up. The cable car has two stops along the way, and you can choose to get off and visit the rainforest and waterfalls. After arriving in Kuranda you can walk around the village or visit the zoo. The train ends in the center of Cairns, and you can walk back to the hotel without a shuttle bus.

This experience gives you a unique view of the rainforest from above as you silently glide through the treetops from Smithfield to Kuranda and return. We used the Skyway to return after a trip on the Scenic Railway and a delicious lunch in the village of Kuranda. With three stations to explore along the way your journey will typically take about 2hrs. There's also a great CSIRO educational centre for the kids to learn more about the local area. I'd recommend though checking in with the attraction after booking as Klook did not specify a time or station of boarding that would have caused issues and potential delays if I didn't call the day before.
