Kyoto: Nishiki Food Market & Hidden Local Spots Walking Tour

Had a fantastic trip! I was greeted by the beautiful Han who showed me all the hot spots for food with great prices and even shared a lot of history of Japan. so happy I went on this activity! Han you are the most amazing person! would definitely recommend.

If you enjoy food this tour is a must! I had such a great experience walking the streets of Kyoto on this tour. Firstly it was well organised, it started on time and the guide was easy to find. It was so interesting walking the streets with a genuinely knowledgeable guide, I naturally had lots of questions about the food and area and the guide seemed to know everything. She was so freindly and easy to talk to with perfect english aswell. We were taken to spots I would have never found by myself and we ate some outstanding food. Japan really is foodies paradise. You never felt pressured though, it was made clear that if you didn't like anything you didn't have to eat it however I enjoyed every dish served. None of it was "too traditional" or strange, I think they've really thought alot about where to take you and which dishes to serve. Everything was delicious and a new experience. I can't reccomend it enough.

Absolutely fantastic tour, it was brilliant being shown around by such a friendly and knowledgeable person. We went to so many great places that I would never think to go to as a tourist but really made the experience. I would definitely recommend for any tourists wanting a more personal and deatiled food tour with spots you would otherwise miss.

We really enjoyed the walking tour in Kyoto. Our guide was very friendly and had great knowledge of the area. He gave us a very authentic tour of the place showing us some areas tourists might not always find. He was very interested in getting to know everyone on the tour and gave us some great places to check out in Kyoto. Would definitely recommend if you’re interested in getting know the area a bit better.

My experience in this tour was more than amazing. While we walked Nishiki Market our guide introduced us about the history and local favorite places not only for foreign tourists. And the guide also introduced us many tipical local foods in Kyoto, especially my favorite one was Japanese croquette! And this tour was not only about Nishiki Market. The guide took us to very interesting shrine, and explained us about Japanese religion. Also took us very beautiful hidden alley too. I'm very glad to join this tour because the guide showed us the places we wouldn't find just by ourself. And also I learned a lot about Kyoto. Higuly recomennded.
