Asahiyama Zoo & Farm Tomita Full-Day Nature Tour

The itinerary was good and it was a good tour to visit in one trip, including the zoo. It was nice to be able to simply stick to the bus boarding time. The proportion of Japanese tourists was high. My time at the zoo wasn't long, including lunch, but I was able to enjoy it all because it wasn't crowded. It seems like you had a good time resting and enjoying yourself at Blue Lake and Farm Tomita. If it's summer, the ice cream sold on the way to Cheongui Lake (recommended menu number 1) will definitely remain in your memory for a long time. There is no Korean language support and English guides are not provided properly, but there are no inconveniences. On the way back, it stopped at three places - Sapporo Station - Odori Park - Susukino, so it was good until the evening.

It’s so important to arrange the transportation in Hokkaido if you are not driving. Joining this day trip is definitely worthy since you don’t have to worry about the transportation from Sapporo to Asahiyama and Biei. Although the tour guide spoke mainly Japanese, the instruction on waiting time was still very clear.

I enjoyed the time so much and it was worth it. The snow is very beautiful tho it was so cold. The travel time was tiring but overall ut was worth it!

The tour guide and tour bus driver in charge of the reception are very kind. After gathering in the hotel lobby to check in, the tour guide will remind you that the journey is far and you can use the restroom and go to the convenience store to prepare snacks first. There were both Japanese and foreigners traveling with us, but the tour guide’s explanations were all in Japanese. Every time you get off the bus, the departure time will be written on the small whiteboard. Overall, the trip was enjoyable because we visited the zoo, Shirokane Waterfall and the illuminated blue pond in one day, but we really have to be mentally prepared for a long ride. The car is very heated, so remember to put on and take off your clothes.

The zoo probably be more interesting during non winter time as lot of the animals went into hiding. The penguin parade was short but they were so cute. Needless to say the Shirahige waterfall and blue pond were so beautiful at night. The trip is a must try especially it didn’t start till 1030am, we could sleep in longer 😀.

Fuss free purchase and it was much convenient than queuing and purchasing the Zoo tickets off the counter since this was part of the tour's itinerary. Transportation around the area was good overall as it takes us to the places we needed to see. Even though the klook activity mentioned that there were English translation, I could feel that the translator for the one speaking in English/Mandarin was just reading her script of paper with really brief sentences. We know that the main tour guide which was the guy was speaking and explaining alot in Japanese but the English/Mandarin speaking female translator barely translated anything the main tour guide said. Information provided was only basic. Luckily the main Japanese translator was friendly and communicated the timing etc well to us on the white board. To us, the female translator isn't doing that much.

The Asahiyama Zoo, Blue Pond, and Farm Tomita day tour was an unforgettable experience. Starting with the Asahiyama Zoo, we were captivated by the cute penguins and winter animals and the opportunity to witness their natural behaviors up close. The Blue Pond's serene beauty left us in awe with its striking blue hues and picturesque surroundings. Finally, Farm Tomita delighted our senses with its vibrant fields of blooming flowers, creating a stunning landscape. This tour combined wildlife, natural wonders, and scenic beauty, making it a great experience for all travellers.

Generally a well-organised day trip. Driver picked up us on time. The tour guide only speaks Japanese, but the gathering time was well written on a white board. If weather is good, you can even catch the sight of Hidaka Sanmyaku (snow mountains) on your left on the way to zoo. Time allocated at each destinations was OK. Might be a little rush at zoo if you planned to take your lunch there, but you can bring your own lunch or get them from the rest station where they stopped for a break. Arrived at Sapporo 1 hour ++ later than the estimated time, but it was probably due to weather. Overall it is still recommend if you only need the transportation to each destinations.

itinerary was well planned with sufficient time to explore the areas and take pictures. our guide was japanese speaking but she informed us about the bus departure time in english, which was very thoughtful of her. overall a pleasant experience.

A fun day tour, the meeting point was easy to reach from the hotel where we were staying, the bus was quite comfortable and the journey was quite long. Asahiyama Zoo is nice to visit, lots of collections of animals we weren't used to seeing before. Blue Pond is very beautiful, the location is reached by walking through the snow.
