[Summer 11 AM Departure] Shikisai no Oka & Farm Tomita & Blue Pond & Waterfall & Ningle Terrace Illumination Day Tour
Summer Exclusive | During the day, enjoy the lavender fields at Farm Tomita and the secret rainbow flower fields at Shikisai no Oka. In the evening, attend the lighting ceremony at Ningle Terrace, unlocking a double dose of romance in one go. Convenient and Worry-Free | Depart at noon without needing to wake up early. With two meeting points and full vehicle transfers, there’s no need for self-transfer, making for an easy start to your journey.
What to expect
- Farm Tomita | Hokkaido’s Romantic Origin of Lavender A landmark farm in Furano, Hokkaido, and the birthplace of lavender cultivation. July to August is the best time for lavender to bloom, with vast purple seas of flowers spreading out, intertwining with surrounding colorful flower fields to form a romantic scroll. The fresh floral fragrance drifts with the wind, and the gentle evening breeze showcases the romance and tenderness of Hokkaido’s summer, making it an excellent spot for summer photos.
- Shikisai no Oka | Hokkaido’s Most Beautiful Rainbow Flower Carpet Boasting 15 hectares of magnificent flower fields, it’s like a seven-colored rainbow spread across the earth. From June to August, in the height of summer, over 30 varieties of flowers such as lavender, sunflowers, and cosmos bloom profusely. The rolling hills transform into a painter’s overturned palette, with giant scarecrows in the fields that are both cute and healing. A gentle breeze sweeps through the surging sea of flowers, and the aroma overflows, captivating at first sight.
- Ningle Terrace | A Fresh Fairy Tale Town in a Green Forest In summer, the ice and snow recede, transforming into a healing sanctuary hidden in greenery. The branches and leaves in the forest are lush, and sunlight filters through, casting dappled shadows. The fairy cabins are surrounded by green grass and flowers. Walking on the soft forest paths, listening to the chirping of insects and birds, one can escape the hustle and bustle. After sunset (around 17:00, adjusted seasonally), the terrace lights up, with warm yellow lights illuminating in sequence, winding through the forest and adorning the wooden cabins. This, combined with the emerald trees and fresh greenery, adds to the romantic ambiance of the terrace at night. Fresh and healing by day, gentle and dreamy by night, it’s like stepping into a real-life summer fairy tale.
- Shirogane Blue Pond | A Dreamy Blue Mirror Gifted by Nature The minerals in the water refract a stunning azure blue, forming a picturesque scene with the lush deciduous larch trees by the lake. Summer sunlight sprinkles on the lake surface, shimmering and sparkling. The azure water and emerald trees reflect each other. A gentle breeze brings a refreshing coolness. Strolling by the pond, every casual shot is a healing masterpiece, as if entering a summer-exclusive dreamlike sanctuary.
- Shirahige Falls | Pure White Fringes Cascading Between Rocks In summer, with abundant rainfall, water gushes from the rock crevices, flowing in delicate strands like silver whiskers, appearing more vibrant and clear than in winter. The surrounding forest is lush and green, and the mist dissipates the summer heat. It’s a cool and tranquil small scene hidden in the mountains of Hokkaido, both serene and healing.

Reviews
The tour was planned very well. We were able to hit a variety of different must visit sights of Sapporo in one day which we would not have been able to do on our own. Our guide Eric was also very informative and kept us entertained during the long drive. would highly recommend this tour for first timers who want to hit the major, well-known locations in Hokkaido.
Our tour guide, Hikaru, was inclusive as he made sure to speak in both English and Chinese. He is a friendly guide who even helped to take pictures for us in the purple fields. He also gave us more time at Farm Tomita. Immediately after Farm Tomita, we visited the other flower farm, so it was not rushed at all, and we were able to take photos leisurely. Ningle Terrace was also a beautiful place to visit at night, although the shops closed at 7:45. Overall, the experience was amazing, and I would definitely recommend this day trip to others!
This trip almost marked the end of the winter season (March 30, 2026). Our guide, Zoey, was lovely, providing detailed advice and knowledge throughout the journey. She was patient and friendly with everyone on the tour. A special thank you for helping us take photos while driving the snowmobile right from the starting point. This trip's itinerary went directly to the attractions without any detours. The driver was courteous and drove very well. We were very impressed with this trip.
Highly recommend this tour if you want something straightforward and well-organized! No unnecessary stops or long explanations/delay. We originally have snowmobiling in Shikisai-no-oka, but since the snow had melted at the first location, they suggested an alternative and it turned out great. The driver was also very thoughtful. He even cleaned the bus while we were at a stop. Hanson, our guide, was helpful the whole time and easy to communicate with. They may not have many reviews yet, but the experience was solid. We also liked that we arrived at each spot when it wasn’t too crowded. Overall, really enjoyed this tour. Worth trying.
This was my first time booking a KLOOK tour, and I was fortunate to have an excellent guide, Huang Zhanpeng (Hikaru in Japanese). He was a very gentlemanly, patient, and kind guide. Even though the tour was fully booked, the quality of the experience was not compromised. All the tour members were very well-mannered, and the guide's itinerary planning was perfectly executed. This experience makes me want to continue booking one-day tours. Thank you to our guide for giving us such wonderful memories and a heartwarming experience.
it was a great experience. Hansen guide us very well and informative. Definitely, i will recommend this tour to others while at Sapporo !
Lucy has been very helpful in keeping the tour on pace and ensuring there is enough time for each destination. She provided useful insights into Hokkaido and is accommodating to all participants. The driver is also very efficient and drove well and steady. Overall this tour covers all the main tourist attractions in Furano and Biei. Side comment to the tour operator - it will be better to arrange Farm Tomita first in the itinerary as when we arrived (4.35pm+)most of the shops and cafes are closing. This farm is better compared to Shikisai no Oka in May.
Everything from the pick-up to the guide’s assistance was great and professionally handled. However, I’m giving a slightly lower rating because we didn't see the advertised illumination of the blue pond.
Our tour guide was excellent, speaking Japanese, English, and Chinese. There were beautiful views along the way. If you get motion sickness easily, I recommend taking motion sickness medication before the trip, as the route drives through mountains.
We had a wonderful experience, the itinerary was perfect, it’s all the places you need to visit when you’re in the Biei and Furano area. Our guide, Eric was excellent! He’s trilingual and he’s very knowledgeable about the area and makes a lot of suggestions of places to see and eat! Definitely a must do tour when you’re in Hokkaido!
