Reviews
We joined the Miyazaki Takachiho Gorge exploration day tour from Fukuoka, and our guide, Summer, made it truly unforgettable. She was warm, knowledgeable, and kept everything running smoothly. Summer shared fascinating stories about the gorge’s legends and the local culture, plus great tips on where to take the best photos. The gorge itself is breathtaking – the emerald water, the waterfalls. Summer managed the timing perfectly, so we never felt rushed.
Late review for a tour taken on 20 April 2026. Overall, it was a well-paced and enjoyable experience. We had a brief stop near Mt. Aso crater area for photos, followed by extended time at Kusasenri, which allowed us to explore and take in the scenery more comfortably. There was also an additional stop at a mini garden, which was a pleasant bonus. One of the highlights of the trip was Kurokawa Onsen—truly worth visiting, and our guide shared helpful recommendations to make the most of it. Special mention to our guide, Helen-san. She was exceptional—fluent in Mandarin, English, and Japanese, and provided detailed explanations throughout the tour. Her professionalism and thoughtful recommendations really elevated the whole experience.
The tour was great. I was travelling with 2 teens and my wife. We all had fun visiting the two shrines and gorge. Rachel was a wonderful guide. She made the day a lot of fun. The gorge is otherworldly and worth the cost of the tour on its own. We all enjoyed the two shrines and the stories about the dietys they honor as told by Rachel.
A cheerful and amiable tour guide Ceco was really beneficial. I adore this tour, scenery, history and landscape as does my husband. She assisted us in taking numerous photos. it reminds us of pleasant times. We enjoyed it very much
To Juju, our guide for today's trip! It was a truly enjoyable and enriching time with you. It's not easy to find a Korean-speaking guide, so we were lucky to meet you, Juju, and have you guide us in Korean, which made our Fukuoka trip even more fun. After our day of touring, you even recommended a dinner spot, and the yakiniku you suggested was absolutely delicious with an amazing atmosphere. Thank you for making our trip so comfortable today.
We chose the Mount Aso/ Kurokawa onsen tour and were not disappointed. Lina was an excellent guide, highlighting the sights of the areas we visited. Mt Aso was unique and beautiful (with great food and shopping options at Kusanaeri). The shrine was tranquil and Kurokawa was a highlight in our trip. Lina also was very proactive in making sure that everyone was able to see and do what they wanted. When visiting Kurokawa, there were concerns whether the onsens would accommodate a party as big as ours but Lina made it happen. We would definitely recommend this tour to anyone considering it.
Our guide was fluent in three languages during the tour, providing excellent explanations and guidance, which made sightseeing comfortable and enjoyable! The time spent at each attraction might feel a bit short due to the distance between them, but it was great to be able to visit Kumamoto and Miyazaki in one day for such a reasonable price. A special aspect of this tour was the gift prepared by the company and the thoughtful pre-booking of the Takachiho shuttle bus. I highly recommend this package!
Our guide today,茅蔚栋, explain us a lot of information about the different sites we visited to permit us enjoyed the trip more. He was very kind and I really suggest him as a tour guide!
Great trip itinerary although quite far and the time allotted for each site wasn’t enough to fully appreciate. great tour guide as well (Mori) - very friendly and knowledgable.
All the attractions are amazing and wonderful! Our guide Minasan was very nice and shared so much information regarding the spots what we say. I highly recommend this tour
