What to expect

✨ Enjoy the “Kyoto by the Sea”'s three major scenic spots in one day – Amanohashidate, one of Japan’s three most scenic views, Ine Bay, and the most romantic seaside town in Kyoto, Ine Funaya. Enjoy the beautiful mountains and sea, stroll through the Funaya town, and take a boat tour of Ine Bay, experiencing a healing journey interwoven with nature, culture, and maritime charm. 🚠 Slowly ascend to the observation deck on a unique single-person cable car, overlooking the Amanohashidate sandbar stretching between the azure bays from above. Don’t forget to try the classic local “matanozoki” (viewing through your legs) to appreciate Amanohashidate from a different angle, where the scenery appears like a soaring dragon! 🐉 🌊 Along the tranquil Ine Bay, admire the traditional Funaya houses built right by the sea. The blue waters, rustic Funaya, and distant mountains intertwine to form a serene coastal painting, where every shot captures the unique atmosphere of a Japanese seaside town. 🛳️ Explore Ine from a different perspective! Take a boat tour of Ine Bay, gazing at the Funaya houses along the shore and the layered mountain scenery from the sea. During the voyage, you might even encounter seagulls flying alongside the boat, enjoying a relaxing and fun time on the water. ☕ If you enjoy slow travel, consider spending some time in Ine. Step into the popular seaside cafe INE CAFE, order a cup of coffee, and quietly admire Ine Bay through the window, letting your travel pace slow down. *The cafe’s operating status and entry arrangements are subject to actual conditions on the day, and expenses are self-paid. 👘 This place not only boasts beautiful scenery but also preserves the unique traditional fishing village atmosphere. Stroll leisurely along the seaside, admire the unique Funaya architecture of Ine up close, and feel the daily life and stories of “Kyoto by the Sea” amidst the quiet alleys and sea breeze. 🏯 In Amanohashidate, you can also visit the historic Chion-ji Temple, admire its traditional temple architecture and the local specialty “fan omikuji” (fortune slips), experiencing the cultural charm of Amanohashidate beyond its natural beauty. 🎐 🌉 Walk across Amanohashidate’s distinctive revolving bridge to the coast lined with pine trees and white sand. Stroll along the beach with the sea breeze, enjoying the leisurely time of northern Kyoto amidst the mountains, sea, and pine forests. 🏖️ Warm reminder: Visiting Chion-ji Temple is a free sightseeing activity and does not involve any religious activities. The actual touring order,停留時間 (stay duration), and experience content may be adjusted due to traffic, weather, facility operations, and other conditions on the day. 🚍 Flexible pick-up and drop-off in Osaka and Kyoto | No need to return to the original location Choose freely whether to get on in Osaka and off in Kyoto, or get on in Kyoto and off in Osaka! You can flexibly arrange your itinerary according to your accommodation and next destination, saving the trouble of returning to the same city and making your Kansai trip smoother and more convenient.

Review for: Amanohashidate Route | Includes Cable Car & Ine Bay Boat Ticket | Departing from Osaka or Kyoto

This was my first trip to Osaka and Kyoto, and I booked this one-day tour. The journey was very comfortable and enjoyable. Our tour guide, Gu Wenji, was especially energetic and thoughtful. He explained the history of the attractions and what to do there in detail, and he was able to do so in three different languages for tourists from various places. He also thoughtfully reminded us of the restroom locations at each stop, suggested cooling drinks to buy at convenience stores when the weather was hot, and even shared recommendations for restaurants. We are very grateful for Tour Guide Gu Wenji's arrangements! Overall, the trip was very pleasant and wonderful, with beautiful scenery. Starting from Kyoto, we had the option to be dropped off in Osaka. If I have the chance again, I will definitely book these one-day tours again. I highly recommend this trip!

Review for: Tango Railway Line | Departing from Osaka (without detouring Kyoto) | Includes Cable Car + Boat Cruise Package

Since the distance from Osaka is quite far, the 1-day tour was perfect for travel. We completed everything in one day, including riding the train following the Spirit Away route, visiting Amanohashidate sandbar, and taking the Ine boat tour where birds flew very close to peck at our crackers. The atmosphere was great, and the views were beautiful. Finally, we stopped to buy local souvenirs. Our guide, Sean, was Chinese and spoke four languages. He took excellent care of us, managed the trip well, and was punctual. We were very impressed.

Review for: Amanohashidate Route | Includes Cable Car & Ine Bay Boat Ticket | Departing from Osaka or Kyoto

This was my first time taking a day trip with this travel agency, and our tour guide, Wen-Ji Ju, was incredibly enthusiastic and energetic. He switched between three languages fluently, which was impressive, as we had travelers from Taiwan, Korea, and Japan on the bus today. He explained the itinerary three times, managed the time perfectly, and we didn't experience any delays. He even provided pictures at each scenic spot, showing us the best angles for Instagram-worthy photos, and offered to take pictures for everyone. He was very thoughtful, even checking in with those who hadn't taken many photos to make sure they got some. Along the way, he recommended delicious snacks and unique convenience store drinks, and it was clear he wasn't just promoting them. His enthusiasm was consistent throughout the entire trip. The group members were also very considerate and didn't cause any delays at any of the attractions. I hope to have the chance to join another tour and have the same guide again! 👍 I do have a small suggestion for the travel agency, though. There are very few restaurants in Amanohashidate, and it gets very crowded with tourists, which caused significant delays during lunch. It was a bit disappointing that we missed some spots because of this. It would be much better if the agency could offer a lunch reservation and meal service.

Review for: Korean Tour Guide: Includes Amanohashidate Cable Car & Ine Bay Boat Tour Fees

💜A wonderful trip with Guide Seo Geum-bong💜 I was surprised that it was my first time having a guide with such experience! He's amazing!! Even though there weren't many Koreans, he did a great job explaining the destinations and overall Japanese culture, which I really appreciated. The stories I learned for the first time were so valuable! There was also a solo traveler, and he took good care of them too. He even took some great photos for us!!! It was a very enjoyable trip. Thank you!! I hope to see you again next time!!🥰

Review for: Korean tour guide: Does not include Amanohashidate cable car & Igan Bay boat tour fees

Our trip to Ine no Funaya and Amanohashidate with Guide Goo Moon-gil was very enjoyable, comfortable, and pleasant. In particular, his excellent language skills in Korean, Japanese, and Chinese made the trip very convenient. Also, I was staying in Kyoto and booked the bus tour just the day before, but he confirmed the reservation immediately, allowing me to join the tour right away. If you're staying in Kyoto, I highly recommend trying the bus tour. Guide Goo Moon-gil also shared many great restaurant recommendations, famous Japanese foods, and convenient store 'hidden gems' that locals often buy, which was very helpful. I will definitely come back to Kyoto with my family for another bus tour. Please be sure to still be here until then!

Review for: Amanohashidate Route | Includes Cable Car & Ine Bay Boat Ticket | Departing from Osaka or Kyoto

Absolutely amazing day trip! Northern Kyoto is stunning and so much more peaceful than the city. Reaching Amanohashidate and Ine no Funaya on your own by train/bus can be a massive logistical headache, so this Klook tour is 100% worth it for the convenience alone. Our tour guide, Suke, was fantastic! He was super organized, gave clear instructions, and shared great local tips throughout the day. The chairlift at Amanohashidate had incredible views, and feeding the seagulls/eagles from the boat at Ine was a highlight. Highly recommend this tour, especially if Suke is your guide!

It was a very worthwhile day trip where we got to see the beautiful view of Kyoto. The tour guide, Hua Hua, was very cheerful, funny, and kind. He always tried to make a joke to make us happy throughout the day. I also had onigiri; I brought onigiri from the city for lunch because the lunchtime was pretty short, and I wanted to enjoy more time seeing the scenery.

Awesome tour guide by Yujin-san (Eugene), very friendly and funny! Went to many places and Yujin explained the places clearly before we reached to prep us and also helped us to get an extra toilet break on our way back to drop off point as the traffic was bad (May 5, Golden Week) and took more than what was estimated. Read many reviews and many were singing Yujin-San's high praises and he certainly did not disappoint! He have clocked a good 10 years of working here in Japan, speaks fluent English, Mandarin and Japanese. Bought this day tour package with good anticipation and was in awe by the good views of Amanohashidate and Ine, worth the price! Keep up the good and awesome work! Gambate! Hope to see you next time Eugene!

Review for: Korean tour guide: Does not include Amanohashidate cable car & Igan Bay boat tour fees

Thanks to our guide, Mr. Sim Man-pyeong, we had a comfortable and enjoyable tour. He's fluent in four languages, and we could really feel his passion and philosophy when he explained things. It was a bit disappointing that we couldn't ride bikes or the lift car as originally planned due to the rain when we started, but thanks to that, we got to explore some beautiful towns, and the misty fog made it even more picturesque, which was lovely, haha. Oh, and you absolutely must take the cruise! You'll get to experience the amazing sight of seagulls and black kites swooping down to eat shrimp crackers.
