Ishigaki Island: Early Morning - Sunrise SUP/Canoe Tour with Options

It was awesome! A fantastic and super great experience. I saw a huge bat, like the size of a cat, it was unbelievable! I didn't get a picture though. The tour guide was amazing, even though I mostly guessed what he was saying.

The tour was interesting with fun that gave you a chance to visit the mangrove river by either canoe or SUP. My original choice was canoe, but the tour guide Sebastian encouraged me to take SUP which looked more fun. This was really true, and under Sebastian's guidance, I could kneel and stand on the SUP which was an awesome experience to me. As there's a chance of falling into water, I did not bring my cell phone with me. But Sebastian would take photos for the partcipants during the trip. Photos would be sent on the same day which is a very considerate service. Instead of staying in the hotel, this is worth to take this interesting experience to see another side of ishigaki-island during the sunrise / sunset.

We stayed for two nights and three days, and unfortunately, the weather was bad and many of the tours we had planned were canceled. However, we were relieved that you let us know whether or not this tour would be held at an early stage. Although there were many clouds and we couldn't see a beautiful sunrise, we had a very pleasant time doing SUP surrounded by nature and the sounds of birds. It was my first time doing SUP, but I was taught carefully and was happy to be able to go further than I had imagined. The tour guide was also very kind and told me about recommended tourist spots, which made it a wonderful trip even after the tour. This time, I was traveling alone and didn't have many photos of myself, but I was happy that the guide sent me some pictures. I would like to come back and try again next time when the weather is more stable.

Short, but awesome experience Stand Up Paddleboarding for sunrise with Sebastian in Ishigaki, leaving you the entire day to do other activities. 5 stars all around, particularly for Sebastian being patient, kind, knowledgeable and a terrific guide. He was a great teacher, not just for paddle boarding, but all things Ishigaki, mangroves and marine. He made everything very engaging and was very interactive, all around good banter. He gave many great suggestions for hidden gems around the island and even took us to an amazing local onigiri and fried chicken shop for breakfast. Book this tour especially if you want an active morning on the water with a chance of amazing views and chances are, it'll be a personal tour as not many rise this early to savour the magical sunrise!

I had experienced SUP before, but I participated because I wanted to see the sunrise over Ishigaki Island. The instructor in charge, Sebastian, was very friendly but polite, and he taught me very kindly from the beginning. He also told me in advance about the wind direction during the experience, so I was able to experience SUP with peace of mind, even though it was early in the morning. When traveling solo, I tend to take selfies, but he took a lot of photos from a distance during the experience, so I have good memories. (And he's good at taking photos) Thank you very much!! Since it was an early morning tour, I was worried about getting sleepy, but I didn't get sleepy at all and enjoyed it very much. I participated on the day I was leaving, but after returning to the hotel, I still had time for the 10:00 check-out even after taking a bath, so I was able to see a beautiful sunrise in the morning, had fun, and had a fulfilling time!!

Overall it is an interesting activity where you can explore the mangroves and enjoy the sunrise by SUP. Unfortunately, the weather was bad that day and the itinerary was delayed. When we arrived at the mangroves, it was already daybreak and the sunrise was not obvious. If the weather is good, there should be more gorgeous scenery!
