Okinawa Ishigaki Island & Taketomi Island: Choose from popular activities + Taketomi Island sightseeing

There was a change in the itinerary at first. First we went to Taketomi and then to Phantom Island. I liked it better that way, so it didn't bother me. I got the ferry ticket and was able to explore Taketomi on my own. It was a very interesting island, which I explored on foot. A bike wasn't necessary, but many recommend it. At lunchtime, Naomi took us to the boat. We received our equipment and an introduction to snorkeling. At sea, Naomi looked after our small group and led us to various locations. She made sure we took breaks and took photos of us. Afterward, we went to Phantom Island and had some time there. I chatted with Naomi there and received some more information about the island and Ishigaki. Afterward, we went back. It was a wonderful snorkeling experience; the coral reefs were beautiful. The staff were very friendly, funny, and helpful. Overall, a wonderful experience.

You can enjoy snorkeling in Ishigaki even in winter. Since the end of COVID-19, I've only been snorkeling overseas, but snorkeling in Ishigaki for the first time in a while was a tour that made me realize once again how amazing the Japanese sea is. Sebastian, who was in charge of this tour, was always concerned about the health and fatigue of the tour participants, and when we found a sea turtle, he took a beautiful video that an amateur couldn't take, which was impressive. He later sent me the beautiful photos and videos he took with his GoPro, and I was able to receive memorable photos. Thanks to him, it was a safe, secure, and very satisfying snorkeling experience! He was the best guide I've ever had on a snorkeling tour. I recommend this tour.

Due to the typhoon, our itinerary changed, so instead of snorkeling in Hamajima, we went on a Miyara River canoe tour. We had originally booked the Miyara River canoe tour for yesterday, but it was canceled due to the typhoon, which was disappointing. However, thanks to the itinerary change, we were able to experience it, which was great. I'm grateful for our guide Akari's kind explanations and guidance, which allowed me, despite the language barrier, to enjoy the activity without any difficulties. I highly recommend the Miyara River canoe tour, especially with my 17-year-old son.

Nice experience but crowded during snorkelling. Taketomi is worth it but with a bike

Naomi's guidance made our family's experience unforgettable. However, price-wise, the difference between the course that included Taketomi Island and the course that didn't was more than the Taketomi ferry fare. The product description stated that Taketomi-jima sightseeing was included, but we received ferry tickets from the snorkeling team and had to independently arrange transportation and sightseeing in Taketomi.

The guide was very kind and provided excellent assistance, making the tour very comfortable.
