Fantastic 5.0
From the moment you step into the lobby, the elegant design and warm welcome make you feel delighted. The rooms are spacious and bright, the beds are as soft as clouds, and the view outside the window is incredibly relaxing. Every staff member is enthusiastic and professional, always proactively offering assistance. The breakfast is rich and varied, fresh and delicious, energizing you for the day's journey. Overall, this is not just accommodation, but an experience of high-quality living. I will definitely choose this place again for my next trip! Highly recommended to everyone.

Great 4.0
The room was very damp, and both the floor and carpet felt sticky. I'm not sure why, but aside from that, everything else was fine. There are many facilities available, including massage, hot springs, and swimming. There's also a rooftop bar with night views, and the bed was comfortable!

Fantastic 5.0
It's simply my shortcoming, not theirs. Highly recommend!!! This is a must-choose for young people looking to relax. The place is spacious and new! The air conditioning is excellent, and the rooms are very clean and stylish. Each room has two double beds and comes with kitchenware and a stove. I recommend at least four people stay together for a minimum of two nights; cooking one of those nights would be great. After a day out at sea, you can even do laundry and dry your clothes, which means you can pack fewer outfits for a couple of days! Driving is a must, and parking is convenient. The swimming pool and sauna are open until midnight (00:00), so even if you return to the hotel at 10 PM, you still have time to enjoy the facilities. It's fantastic!

Fantastic 5.0
The hotel is very large and beautiful, and it has hot springs. I thought I wouldn't get to use them in the summer, but after getting caught in the rain one day, it was great to relax in the hot springs. There are indoor and outdoor pools with excellent views. The swimming pool is also fantastic, and breakfast is good, including Yaeyama ramen. The staff are very polite and always smiling, making you feel right at home. The only downside is that it's so close to nature that we had ants on the second day, though they were gone by the third. Overall, it's very clean and comfortable, but if you want ice cream or snacks, you'll need to drive out to buy them.

Fantastic 5.0
I was very, very satisfied. It was a little inconvenient that English wasn't understood when entering the breakfast restaurant, but I solved it using a translator. It seems like a truly generous hotel that has everything you need. Beach towels are available for free rental, and there is also a space on the outside first floor where you can wash and dry snorkeling gear and life jackets, making it easy to clean up after playing in the water. An ice maker, water purifier, spin dryer, and microwave are also available for direct use on the 6th floor. It was so convenient and great that they provided everything I needed practically and for free. Accessibility was also not bad, so I walked to Euglena Mall, the ferry terminal, and downtown restaurants. Highly recommend it~~

Fantastic 5.0
This resort is very comfortable, offering airport transfers (reservations required). The environment is pleasant, the staff are attentive, and the rooms are spacious with small balconies and all necessary amenities. A buffet breakfast is included, with a good variety of dishes that change daily, and the food tastes great. There are several restaurants (reservations required), including a teppanyaki grill, shabu-shabu, a cafe, and a bar. The prices are comparable to those outside the resort (I didn't have time to try them this visit). The facilities are excellent, with indoor and outdoor pools, a large public bath (with indoor and outdoor sections, and free ice cream at night), a hot stone spa, sauna, library, table tennis, and billiards. There's also an activity center where you can join tours. You can borrow electric bikes and scooters to explore the area, which is really fun. You can also take a stroll along the seawall to watch the sunset and stargaze. It's absolutely fantastic!

Fantastic 5.0
Hotel Kukuru is conveniently located in the heart of Ishigaki City and offers two paid parking lots. It's just a 3-5 minute walk to the Remote Island Terminal for ferry departures, making island-hopping tours easily accessible. If you're heading to the fishing port for a diving trip, it's also very convenient. Additionally, there are numerous restaurants within a few minutes' walk. We will definitely come back again!

Fantastic 5.0
Although the South Wing was a bit far from the main facilities, we were able to get around using a cart and had a comfortable stay with everything we needed. The pool and beach being close by made it great for recreation, and there were plenty of sunbeds for relaxing. It was also perfect for ending the day comfortably in the large public bath after playing.

Fantastic 5.0
The hotel front desk staff had no problem communicating in English. The room was very spacious, and the ocean view room offered a nice view. You can snorkel directly in front of the beach. The pool is only 70cm deep, so it's only suitable for children. The breakfast was delicious!

More about Ishigaki hotels

What staying in Ishigaki feels like

Staying in Ishigaki stretches from very affordable economy options up to distinctly premium luxury properties, with the top end roughly 4.5 times the price of the bottom. The best balance between cost and comfort tends to be the standard tier, which is where most travellers find the best value.

How hotel tiers compare and whom they suit

Economy rooms sit at the budget end and are noticeably cheaper than the tiers above, making them a practical choice for travellers focused on saving. Standard properties offer a step up in comfort and represent the best-value middle ground. The biggest price jump is from standard to premium, so choosing to move into premium is the main decision point for travellers wanting more space or extras. Luxury sits above premium as the most expensive option and will suit those prioritising a high-end stay.

When to book

For travellers planning a trip, rates are lowest in March and highest in July, so a budget-led trip fits best in March when nightly rates are much lower than in July. Rooms here are typically booked around 39 days ahead, with more advance planning common for the priciest periods; last-minute availability exists within about 18 days but is less certain.
