Japanese Paper "Washi" Making Experience in Asakusa

Superb experience. A real immersion and lots of concrete explanations on how washi paper is made. There were only two of us and the activity was very enjoyable! Thank you very much. I recommend it without hesitation!

Really enjoyed making beautiful washi paper with Kazu. He was a good teacher and really explained the art of washi making washi paper. Loved my experience making washi paper that I want to return to make more. I would highly recommend attending this washi paper making class so that you can take back a souvenir of an old Japanese art that you created, that doesnt even add weight to your luggage. Love the papers I created. Totally recommend that you attend this class if you visit the Asakusa area, I really enjoyed it.

It was a creative and relaxing experience. Learned a lot about this art form from the video, teacher, and through the pictures displayed so thoughtfully in English. The location was also easy to find and I enjoyed browsing the shop.

Our Washi Paper making experience was personalized and fun. They were patient and kind which made our experience very enjoyable. We definitely recommend this authentic hands-on experience when visiting Tokyo.

We really love it! it’s a unique and special experience to learn about the traditional washi paper making. and sensei the workshop instructor is patient, funny and clear about the instructions. My husband and I enjoyed it a lot! Definitely a very hands on approach and something different which you can try at Asakusa! Highly recommended!

The instructor was good and could communicate his instructions well. I had expected that we were designing the washi paper on top of creating the paper, but it was just making the paper and if you want a design, it's an additional fee

I learned so much about the art of washi paper and how delicate it is. It was fun to soak the fibers in water and press to make a beautiful postcard.
