Reviews summarythis was an amazing experience that we did with our Japanese ‘daughters’. the instructions are easy to follow and you end up with a beautiful souvenir. it was worth every penny and took 1.5hrs. you could also buy kits to take home if you wanted a second experience but we stuck with what we had. Thank you for a fantastic experience. Your Canadian Friends.
My husband and I booked this workshop during our honeymoon in Japan. 10/10 recommend! We enjoyed learning about the history of Kintsugi as well as creating our very own piece! It's a meaningful keepsake that will always remind us of our trip. The staff were super friendly and very helpful every step of the way throughout the workshop. Thank you for a wonderful time!
This was a beautiful and detailed experience. The instructors were very kind and helped us so much. Highly recommend as a authentic experience and keep sake!
Class was extremely fun, informative and easy to follow along. All materials are provided and nicely set up for ease of use. You get to pick your piece and get space to customize the details of each. Value for experience was equal to what we receiced. Went as a group of 4 and was extremely easy to book and check in.
this was a lovely experience. you get a brief history of kintsugi and then step by step guidance on your own piece. the instructor regularly comes arouns to check your work and suggest recommendations. over all a great experience
a very fun experience! getting to bring home a very unique souvenir that we created ourselves was one of my favorite things from my trip to Tokyo! the instructor does very well with getting instructions across and there is also video demonstration so I didn’t feel confused at all during the workshop and the steps are very simple. another really nice part of it is they give u a plastic box to put it in and packing peanuts and tape so you can safely bring it home. I high recommend this to anyone coming to the city. my itinerary was mostly sight seeing and shopping so it was nice to sit down and work with my hands.
This was a great experience! Our teacher explained throughly the process of Kintsugi as well as its history. We would definitely recommend this to any visitors to Tokyo! It was a great way to learn about Japanese history and culture.
Wow, what an absolute blast! This workshop was fun, artful, educational, and cultural, plus we get a super sweet souvenir! It was easy to find and the instructions were easy to follow along. Loved it!
the workshop is incredible for itself. very interesting experience to have. the only thing that I felt not too welcoming was the fact of the owner artist Taku was there and he introduced himself, his work, awards, who worked for. and then, one of his employee guided the entire workshop. her english was a little hard to understand but we could manage asking around once English is also not my first language. she was lovely tho. very enthusiastic about the job. once we finished the workshop, the owner was with some other clients painting ceramics and he didn’t come back to us to say anything. We left the place without a “thank you”, and for a japonese hospitality, that was a bit strange. other than that, I really enjoyed it. also the place is under the building so you will find easily.
I booked this kintsugi experience for a friend’s birthday and was glad she enjoyed it. The process beautifully showcased how broken pottery can be transformed into unique, precious pieces with gold, celebrating imperfections as part of their story. It was a meaningful and inspiring experience.
